Ever decreasing Z4M prices

What made me press the button on mine was the following

1. One Owner since new
2. Straight BMW Service History
3. Lowish Mileage
4. Paintwork and Wheels in good order
5. A Colour /Interior combo that made me go oh that looks nice and a similar reaction of a few people who saw the same photos.

There was probably a cheaper car out there but the above made me pay the extra.

I don't kid myself really good Z3 M roadsters make 7 to 8 k so thats where we are headed over the next 5 years.

They're only just beginning to bounce back. I reckon I'd get what I paid for mine, but I've put another £2k into it for the warranty, wheel refurb and a bit of minor car park ding removal etc. I bought it as a toy though, and like PVR it's what I choose to spend my hard earned on.

If I was younger I'd be more worried about buying my first house and getting out from my Parents place than shelling out on an M or Alpina. I don't know how some of our younger members manage it

Ahhhh, that's an easy one to answer - in the current economic climate they have decided 'fcuk it, it's too expensive to grow up properly right now, so I'll have an ///M instead while I don't have any other responsibilities apart from the rent'

...and then they'll sell it on to an old fart like me when reality bites in a couple of years :P

It more like the fact they are the same price as a new vauxhall astra... Which makes them a pretty good deal and by the time Ive settled down had a few kids and manage to get another one they will have been taxed off the road. Lifes to short, which is why I got one, and fills the time while im in limbo wondering what to do with my life!

Yep, I am the same. In Limbo so just trying to enjoy myself while I'm young. These type of cars won't be around for long, so it was one thing on my bucket list to do.

I have a deposit in the bank for a house, but dont know where I want to buy yet as I haven't settled so don't see the point in buying a house.

Your a long time dead!!!
 
Ye problem with my job too moving every 2 years or so just started a new job so atm a house is a tie not on my priority list until I find someone worth sharing it with and feel like settling. Everyone is different.
 
Dread to think what my Coupe is worth now, with 79k of track/'Ring mileage! It's not something that worries me or I think about too often though. The car has been a keeper since day one, and it's been used (and abused!) during that time.

I was thinking £3K to change but at £5K even with the low mileage and specification its a no go

11k for a low miles mr in that colour combo is a bit of a piss take - i will see what he offers me for mine, i was hoping for 6k cost to change... but im a bit less hopefull now
