Ever decreasing Z4M prices

All I will say is that it's funny when people are vocal on here about how prices have "plummeted" when they are looking to buy one and then when they've got one you don't hear a peep out of them about the values. Strange that! You must think we were born yesterday!!

Still Z-less. Seems good cars hold their money whilst the not so good with miles are the ones that hang around or keep being reduced. Same goes for the car I have just sold. I have now seen just under eight cars and all have been disappointing in one area or another. I would be happy to 'pay up' if it was an honest car!

Where are the good ones?!

Cheers,

Simon.

Are you referring to me?

Are really suggesting anything said on this forum will affect prices in the wider market, that’s absolute rubbish. A few posts on an insular forum like this one won’t have any effect on values what so ever

btw I never said "plummeting" so don't miss quote me please.

If you don't know if I was referring to you it's a bit difficult to accuse me of misquoting is it not?

Look, I hope you find the car you want. But this whole thread started off with you talking about how rapidly prices are dropping. The simple fact is, for a really mint example, they aren't really. You obviously disagree so we'll just have to agree to disagree and leave it at that.

Having recently bought one... i can concur that you still need to pay decent money to get one with decent miles, Full BMWSH and a decent colour .

They are still good value in comparison to Alpina's which are holding up very well

Agreed - the 13k miles 07 plate that i want to look at this weekend is £16k, which, if it is really is perfect, and he dosen't pull my pants down too far on the trade in could be a goer.

i think what inevitably happens is such great driving cars get a few miles on them and people get a bit worried about maintenance, or being "the guy" that ends up with the 100K motor that is a pain to move on when the time comes.

a nice low miler should hold a bit of value over time (at least thats the argument im gonna give the wife)

I was tempted on this one but I have just done a 'Whatcar' valuation on mine and I'd be looking at £4K to change at trade in price Of £12K :(

Of course you were referring to me and you did misquote me, let's not pretend otherwise
I started this thread because I couldn't believe how much prices have dropped and mentioned road tax might have something to do with it, not some thinly veiled attempt to some how lower prices for a potential purchase.
Let's agree to disagree, but as a recent seller I'm aware of the current market through experience.

I've bought and sold quite a few cars over the last 30 odd years and agree 100%, as values drop specialist cars with big costs attached tend to get sketchy servicing and poor attention to small but expensive jobs. Relatively speaking it becomes less worthwhile to do-up a cheap one rather than pay a £2k extra for a tip top example. Condition, history and mileage are all, relative values between the best and worst will widen with mint examples being sought after - even at a premium they will usually represent better value during ownership and at re-sale time.

whatever it is we have just enjoy it . we all know they aren't gonna return a profit .
if that's what you're after buy some property .

About the same miles and price kevshore sold his for recently - a very good deal if it's a nice one

There's a couple having a laugh though - lovely black one on there with 40k miles that is priced at almost £20k... Now that is optimism...

That Interlagos with champagne looks mmmmmm tasty! I would say that though

Mine doesnt have the embossed M logos in headrest either :(

Prices have dropped, as per the Market but not much in the last 6 months, and forecasting won't drop much until august next year I wouldn't have thought. It's all about LOW miles, it's just that type of car. All discussed a lot on here :D
