Eventuri VAI Carbon Intake Kit for the Z4M details

This is something I have been following, and am seriously thinking about/ without having to read back, can this be done as a supply-only, and be fitted outside of evolve(at my bmw specialist), and does it work as well without having a remap done at the same time?, Bilal,

Also,is it possible to have the scoop in another colour, i.e black(more low-key, and not clashing with car/body colour/other items)

Cheers

Craig,

In answer to your first question yes you can do supply only. It's a simple job for anyone half-competent with a spanner, which is why I got mine fitted by a local garage!

Craig, you could easily spray the scoop with plastidip which perks off ever your ever wanted to revert back.

Fitting is really straight forward. Shouldn't take more than 45mins to an hour. I've done a few so takes me about 30 mins and i'm no mechanic!

Here is a link to the installation guide:

The scoop can be easily painted or dipped as others have mentioned.

Can somebody please post some videos with rocking audio already!! :poke:
I have a very small window of 'in the mood to spend money' and need to consume as much info as possible from as many sources as possible to persuade me to take the punt on this.
For me I don't care too much for performance gains, the bhp it outputs is good enough for me, I just want an improved sound track

Video honestly doesn't do it justice, there are a few videos on the first page of this thread, but in real life the sound is much much better. difficult to capture on a gopro.

Rats. Anything will do but I understand. The original videos really don't sound like they do it justice, there's that cockney lad with the E46 M3 who does the windows up & down test... the air box is barely audible on that over the standard sound.

Quite, and in reality the difference is almost night and day, well perhaps not, but the noise is very noticeably different. As I said before, imagine the standard S54 raspiness, but add in an apocalyptic growl and a growing sense of aggression and you'll be somewhere close.

There's three of us now on the Forum (or four including Katie the original guinea pig) and none of us has anything but praise so far. If you think the standard car is, say, 7 on a scale of 1-10 in serious performance car noise then this intake lifts it to an 8.5 or 9 (CSL would be 10). I'm talking engine sound as opposed to exhaust here.

I think you also get added benefits of a smoother or more instantaneous throttle response and apparently a bit more power higher up the rev range too. It's pretty well made as well.

The M3 have under hood (bonnet) insulation, so it would be somewhat muted compared to our cars. None of the videos that I've seen/heard does any justice to the real thing. Plus, the roar only comes alive when the car is under load. I can barely hear my Remus now and haven't turned on my stereo for a while :driving:

Out of curiosity, is anyone with one of these fitted coming to the English Welsh meet in 10 days? Would quite like to hear the sound and see the fit in person prior to committing!

I'll give you a sample of mine with the RPI backboxes on in return :driving:

Here is another video taken from an E46 M3. Use some headphones of decent speakers otherwise you won't hear the full change in sound.

Cheers, OG....went back and read earlier posts, sound easy enough.
I will be getting this, when funds allow(owning 2 houses is starting to dent my "spare cash", lol)....hopefully before the National meet though :D

Yeah, would go Black (or blue) probably......black being less noticeable hopefully, as would want it more discreet/also the red will clash with other (visual/performance) mods that are currently in the pipeline :D

Yes my eventuri intake kit is being fitted at Redish Motorsport today
So take a peep on Sunday at the meet :driving:

I've got some GoPro footage now from inside the car but I haven't had time to edit it and upload to YouTube yet. I'll embed on this thread when I do.

So did anyone on the weekend meet get to hear one of these bad boys in action?

I saw it, but unfortunately the sound of Budgie's RPI exhaust drowned the noise out

That said, if it was part of the harmonics going on then the whole effect sounded pretty cool.

It's a thing of beauty though, really high quality finish
