Eurotour 2015 --- 27/04/2015-03/05/2015

Well i have reserved my rooms, but i don't know how to tick the boxes on the doodle chart :? Have i got to open an account to unlock
the line along side my name?
Will there be a meet up at the tunnel or ferry to cross together?

I'll be meeting at the tunnel with anyone who wants to meet at Folkestone....

Prefer not to go on the Ferry....

It's looking less and less like I can make this :( couple of things the wife is planing a big holiday for her 30th. And I will be a bit short on cash :-( second I don't have a lot of holiday left now. Just 2 days until next October :o

What I will try and do is still come. But maybe just a Saturday Sunday and possibly a Monday?

Sorry to hear that! Obviously you're welcome to do only a part of the trip. I just booked my hotels including breakfast for 840 euro for 8 nights or 105 euro per night including breakfast. Nothing holds you back to do this trip via camping parcs off course, could be a lot cheaper. Anyway, don't want to push you!!

Or could we raise some funds for a happy monkey to come along guys? There is a certain Marmite project that could raise a bit of cash for Monkey? :fuelfire:

 ha ha thanks Mr Bad but I don't think I could except!!

The big problem is the holiday! Although I need to check what days I have booked! I am sure I should have more left!! But I should be able to do a long weekend. And I won't be camping!! I don't work hard all year to spend my holidays in a tent!!! :D

Oh and if you make it, I would like to order a strutbrace including the 2 small braces in anodised black :-D
If you bring them along, it will save me the freight costs :-)

Unfortunately it looks like I will not be able to make it i've been hanging on hoping i can sort out my work issues but it looks like i just won't be able to take the time off

Hi Stark, We will sort something out then about meeting up. Have you checked prices for either tunnel or ferry?

Hello Mr Pritt!!

Just a thought, any idea roughly what time we will end up back at Calais, end of the week? Reason is that if we are there say late afternoon
its possible that we could get back across the channel instead of booking another night over in Calais, as i say its a thought :!:

Just checked the costing of both ferry and tunnel crossing and its......About £140 for the tunnel, and £90 for the ferry but that's from Dover.
I think the tunnel cross is about 30mins and the ferry 90mins.
I suggested the tunnel as i would be driving from South Wales and its a tad closer than Dover, otherwise I'm not bothered either way.

How do lowered cars get on with ferries and or the tunnel??? Do I need to bring some planks? Or do I need to raise the car  :x

As you know my car is pretty low!! last time i went on a ferry i i asked to be put on the lower deck with a lorries and coaches this way i didn't have to go up the ramp to get to the upper deck.
Ferry company didn't mind at all said they get it a lot with lowered cars
