Estoril Blue 3 Series Cabrio Offer?

What do we think to these? Worth looking at if the deal is right? Perhaps a 335i or 328i if they do that engine in this?

Like the colour, but that back end just looks awkward to me. Not a fan of the 3-series folding hard tops

I wasn't aware that there were any non-m e9x in estoril blue so that's pretty impressive to say the least!

Though I completely agree with sp3ctre. The e93 has a horrible back end, especially when compared with an e92!

328i never existed in the E9x cars. The car in the pic is a 320 going by the brakes and the lack of exhaust on the right (335). The disclaimer says 320d so I'd guess that's all they will offer.

There are no M or non M Estoril E9x series cars at all. BMW couldn't produce the colour due to some part of the production being made illegal for newer paints. They have since managed to produce a similar blue for the F series cars, quickly becoming known as EB2 on the F series car forums. It's not identical to the old EB but is close enough.

I always wondered who bought outgoing models brand new but i guess someone has to and if the deal is right then fair enough. Kind of stinks of "how the hell do we get rid of these last few cars?" though.

The way I see it is if they're a good price its a good idea because you'd expect after all those years of production that all the bugs have been worked out. I've bought too many 'new' things in my life to realise that its bloody expensive and at times quite testing living on the leading edge of a curve and I'd rather hang back now.

Same here. The lines are spoiled by the chunky gaps where the roof folds. I like the coupe (SHOCK!), but the folding tin top just looks wrong IMO

Very true. There were very few problems with the e93 I believe. Something to do with the roof on the first batch but i think it was fixed and swept under the carpet quickly.

I also bet it's about half the price of a 4 series vert.

I think the Estoril blue (a lovely colour) actually makes it worse- these look better in darker colours where the panel gaps are a little less obvious- not one of BMWs best looking cars that's for sure .

Love the colour  personally I am not sure on the diesel convertible thing but its clearly each to their own.

I imagine they have surplus stock of the 320ds and BMW have told the dealers to shift them, same as the Z4 2.0 M Sport deal they did on mine with the 8K dealer contribution. Looks like that particular model hasn't sold well.

I like it and if the deal is good enough why not, its a nice car, still miss my 118d, torquey and refined at speed and I would imagine not that bad in 2.0 guise with the roof down.

Tim.

Could be a good buy I think they look better in real life than in pictures. A friend of mine had a silver one with all the toys it was a lovely car.

i ike em but no sign of what kind of offers they have. i will be buying a 3 coupe/ convertible when my pcp expires in 15 months i think

Unless it's used you won't as they don't make them anymore. 4 series now.

Once I know more about the deal tomorrow I'll update the thread.

Going in at 11 to see what the story is on these. If they did a brand new 320d coupe nicely specced for the right side of 20k I'm having it.

yeah it will be used as i dont fancy paying full price for a 335i or 335d :)

You can spot these if you search on the used website for 320d coupe/convertible and sort by age, newest first.
