ESS Exhaust

I now have the ESS exhaust fitted so thought i would give you lot the lowdown on it. :)
Note: This is just the backbox.

It was a straight forward job of cutting through the standard twin pipes and slotting on the backbox and tightening a couple of clamps. A few bits needed to be removed to do this such as the strengthing struts underneath the car. Mainly so that the center section could be pulled down a bit to get the cutting tool right in. You can see its a lot smaller than the original box and quite a bit lighter.

It sounds very much like standard, except imagine the difference of someone pressing the 'Bass Boost' button on your HiFi.
I'm really pleased as i heard the Miltek and thought it was too much, nobody rubber-necks round when im driving down the road!
In conjunction with the Helene filter the car sounds very deep and bassy now

I will get a video up soon...

2dogs im in North London a fair way from you.

Plowy i see you have the Miltek, hope i didn't offend :) It really is quite a throaty system though :D
And yes, as soon as the tread on the anoyingstones has worn down i'll join the Falken squad!

I've just been on the ESS website, and they want 545 euro for the backbox - this seems expensive - how much did you pay Dreamer? can I come and hear your exhaust? I;m in SE london. Cheers. Chris

Plowy /Dreamer, where in London can I get me some Falkens then? Thanks

Cheers, its a very subtle sound actually. The clip makes it sound louder i think.
I didn't pay full price as it was second hand from Gwatson (old member), couldn't justify the costs of a new one.
Falkens available everywhere. I have Toyo's on mine now.
