Error Code Help - Newbie

Hi All,
Less than a week of ownership I need assistance!

Emmisions light is on, when I scan I get the following result:

P0017 Crankshaft Position - Camshaft Position Correlation

Any ideas?

Try the obd website here... usually pretty good.

It's saying the signals from the cam and crank sensors appear to be out of synch. Such as what would happen if the timing chain jumped a tooth. But if that happened, your engine would run quite poorly.

If the car's running fine, make a note of the code and date, reset it and see if the MIL comes on again.

Running fine, so I reset this morning, then went for a drive, both motorway and town. So far all ok fingers crossed.

On the up side, what a great day for a drive
