It's fairly pricey but as long as you don't reverse over the bottle, it lasts quite well!
Glad it's not only me who does daft stuff like this.
First ever bar of clay.....dropped it on floor on way to car.

Did exactly this - saved myself massive anger by pure fluke.. 3 minutes beforehand i'd seperated the clay into halves...

Clay mitts are the future, they have made the WORST detaiiing job 100x easier. There are videos on youtube I can atest the results are good. Picked mine up in the Halfords 3for2 deals.

Clay bar is still usefull for smaller areas....providing it's not been on the driveway - yes Talksthetorque I've done the same!

Enginer bay is on my list to do this weekend as the weather forecast is iffy. I'm gpoing for the following method -> degreaser, brush and rinse, AG trim spray, admire (hopefully).

Have seen people use steam cleaners but perfonally I'm not brave enough (and dont see it should be really neccessary)

Used nothing but a spray bottle with half watered down APC, and half warm soapy water, and brushes! wheel woolies and a detailing brush.

Mostly its just dirt i think. the only thing i couldnt improve was the top of the suspension mounts - but i'll most likely be replacing those in the future so nps.

^^^^^^ crikey, and I thought I was handy

Totally agree.......who'd waste time and effort cleaning under the bonnet?

Daily driver with over 100,000 miles. Scrubs up alright with autoglym engine and machine cleaner, a small brush, water, autoglym rapid detailer and some microfibres.

Cleaned mine using Autoglym Engine Cleaner with a small brush and Microfibre cloths, followed by a couple of coats of Sonus Trim and Motor Kote cleaner.

About to give the engine bay it's first clean in 6 years :o

Couple of questions: Going to use orange degreaser & a pressure sprayer, do I need to cover anything under the hood for low pressure spraying? Also, can I use AG Bumper gel or Megs tyre gel to dress the engine afterwards (all I have in at the moment) ?
