My batteries (2 AA or otherwise), have given me 96 MPG over 6 weeks and that includes using the petrol engine on 2 long journeys and some shorter ones. How does the low tariff work? I presume you have to prove you have an plug-in EV? Do you get a separate meter for one circuit for charging? How cheap is the tariff? They are all on company fuel cards ... not one of them. EVER gets plugged in
Instead of trawling the motorways doing 70mpg they are doing it at 25mpg with much higher co2 emissions than before
You don’t need an EV to get the tariff. I’m on octopus so all my energy between 1230 & 430 is at 5p kw. Well 4.8 so not only am I charging my EV but I’m also running the dishwasher and washing machine during these periods. I have an active family and my monthly DD has dropped from 148 to 111. gave me money to install an EV charger so quids in for me. Just my experience owning an EV.
