Of course I miss the Z :( but in 8 weeks I don't think I'll care too much :). The 330i's a better all-round car than the Z4, not a surprise really, but it lacks the excitement at times (again unsurprising).

Sorry Craig was offline from Friday and just got your PM this afternoon :headbang:

Apologies to Jack too for missing the pick up point on route.

Lesson learned. Next meet I organize will be north of the Forth on roads I know.... too much time spent on this run wondering if I was on the right road :(

Pics to follow

Great Job Adam ... Thanks for organising this

First meet of 2012 for the other half of team Maldives ecosse ... Nice to catch up with everyone and see how busy they have been ... Between Adams new interior, Jax stunning new roof and Richard's rear bumper it was a lot to take in ... It's been that long since I've made it to a meet. Nice to see some new faces with some great cars.

I had a great weekend went to Leuchars Airshow and saw the red arrows and the Vulcan before staying overnight at south queens ferry... Followed by a great set of driving roads on the borders despite the weather... Day topped off with a cross fife blast in the sunshine and cairn o mount for dessert ..

Hopefully I can now increase my meet frequency !

Thanks Adam for organising this. It was my first meet and I had a great day plus I also met some great members as well, so will be looking forward to the next meet!

Pics pics pics pics !!!! :D

:worthless:

Not jealous one bit

Did I mention pics ?

Good to meet some new faces and meet up again with some old ones.
Enjoyed the run despite some problems after I peeled off in Peebles. I stopped to take a couple of pictures and couldn't get the Zed started again though thankfully I managed to raise the roof before the heavens opened. Started walking towards Stobo and banged on the door of the first occupied house I found and managed to persuade a very helpful guy to jump start my Zed for me.
What makes it confusing is I've had no indication of a fault it just seems the battery won't take / hold a charge.

Still cheers to Adam for organising and here's to the next one.

Does a11y's new 3 have special voodoo powers we were all just talking about how we'd not had problems starting zeds before you left......

Thanks for organising this one Adam - sorry for confusion over the pick up point - though I think you guys might have missed some of the best bits of the "rollercoaster road" section where I think you took A704 ( rather than the A706 I thought you were taking)- no matter and thanks all for waiting for me.

Great to meet some news guys & gals - sorry I couldn't stay till the end to talk more - hope you can make it along to next run too when we can chat more. Nice to meet mrs cj eds!

Really enjoyed lots of this route despite some showers - Adamski - enjoyed our dash to raise roofs - in nick of time.

No pics uploaded yet - didn't take so many today . . .

Sorry to hear of your battery probs A11y & Richard - mine only just started after 12 days - & that's with a new battery - I'm now keeping a C-TEC charger attached almost permanently when not in use.

Craig3.0 - sorry you didn't get route - you should have pm'd me !

Here's to the next one - before year end ?

It's trying to tell me something I think...

Thought about nicking Mrs a11y's Fabia yesterday morning but didn't think it'd go down well leading the Z4's in a Skoda again

Wow, still no pics....

So here's a couple I took after leaving everyone else shortly before the heavens opened and just as my battery decided not to play anymore.

Well the Zeds all healthy again, went to Halfords this morning and got a new battery under warranty. The old one for some reason was down to 35%.

:!:

I beg your pardon?

:poke:

Get out. Get out now ally

:D

There'll be none of that chat around these parts :)

Sorry you didn't have the route Craig, had I realised I'd have forwarded the pm when I was checking the thread the night before.

Only just now sat down in front the PC, will download the few photos I took. Only took about 10 all day though!

you were honoured to have a coupe amongst the ranks
Yeah, he usually only shows up for about half the meet before we tell him to take his fixed roof and bugger off

I always try to show up for a while and show them the better way Taz :)
I did just realise why ally says the 3 is a better car... it's the fixed roof isn't it!

BTW, Well done Adamski on organising it and managing to lead on a route you didn't know. Means if I get my finger out and do organise this Borders one next year I'm definitely going to drive the route first to get to know it!

Was good to meet some new people and new members too, enjoyed meeting you all and hope you're all keen to come along on the next run. Always good to catch up with the older or usual faces too.

Thanks Adam for organising the meet, nice route (even if you did need a few pointers :poke:) and good to meet some new folk and catch up with the rest :)

I had to dive off early to get back and pick up some bits to fix my bike before Halfords closed, and then had to go back tonight for them to fix it anyway .
