Edinburgh Meet - DATE CONFIRMED September 16th

Welcome along cochese

I'll be there in my continued theme of turning up in non-Z4s. However, I might have to "do" a cj_eds and depart partway through - all depends how much progress we make in our DIY projects on Saturday. Hoping I can manage for the full run though as we shouldn't take all day :)

Sorry guys, not going to make it.
SWMBO has put her foot down as we were away last weekend and are away next weekend then it looks like I'm going straight off to the states until Christmas.
So it looks like a weekend of domesticity for me  .

Adam,i might be along to this,if i can shake this flu i have had all week........feeln lousy right now, with stomach/headaches/cold/sore throat and cough  but hoping its going to clear up soon,so can u pm me the info, thanks.

Not sure if Adamski PM'd you but I just did :)

And I'm happy on this occasion that it's a Sunday, but usually equally happy with Saturdays. Usually quieter roads on Sundays though IME.

What time do you think you may be in Moffat, I might be able to sneek out for for a bit.

I would estimate about 10.45 am - could call/text you with progress ?

Sorry but not going to make this run.Had to work till well into early the early hours today then get flight back from Schipol.Absolutely knackered just now :( :( :( .

THis one 'cos it was when most were available, the last one I did was a Saturday run

never spotted a saturday run, makes better sense to have the run on saturday then people have the sunday to chill before the monday back at work, but i suppose a saturday run will always be busyier on the roads

OK, that was a bit of a FAIL: I'm supposed to be at the meeting point for this meet right now, but I'm not... :(

Hopped into the car this morning, pressed the start button - nothing but a flicker of the electronics and wouldn't start. I've been getting a "battery low" warning since I bought the car but haven't had a problem til now, but I guess my faffing around with the headlight (replacing a bulb) yesterday was enough to run down the battery.

Oh well, hope you have a good drive folks :driving:

I think it is just the battery - I've been ignoring the warnings on the dash for long enough

5 year old car that's done 76k miles. My Z4 was older (although less miles) and never saw any battery issues, but suspect a new battery might be the answer. That's the first time since I owned by Renault Clio in 2006 that I've had a car not start/breakdown on me...

I was planning on meeting u guys en-route,but for some reason my posts/pms to Adamski haven't been answered, and hence i dont know the route,so am missing this one

Hope u have a good one,folks :driving:

Yes,never had to replace a battery on a car either, ally, and hopefully wont need to...but it appears that quite a few ppl on here have had to renew their M roadster/coupe batteries in particular, which is strange/worrying??

Hope u get it sorted ok

I reckon it's just extra demands on batteries from all the toys: sat nav, amps/subs in the sound system, extended lighting, iDrive, etc in my case.

ECP have 15% off batteries at the moment so I'm taking that as a sign
