EBC Greenstuff Brake Pads

I'm thinking of changing my brake pads from the origional OEM to EBC greenstuff, the aim being to reduce brake dust ,and if the EBC blurb is to be believed increased stopping power. Would be useful to know if anyone has any experience with these pads , good or bad . Also if anyone has fitted them to a 2009 E89 3.0i sDrive do you have the part numbers ordered ,as there are a couple of variations shown, and without taking the pads out to measure would be good to have them available for a quick change.

I've run 2 set of green on my Z4, 2 sets on an X5 and a single set on a Jag XF, all with great results.
Preference of some is for redstuff, but I prefer the better from cold performance a I never track, but equally don't hang around when conditions permit.

Expect lower dust but in reality stopping distance on all normal pads is the same. Track use is a different game.

Thanks for your comments . I am only using for road use but I also like a bit of a blast when possible. Greenstuff sound like it might fit the bill.

I would go for red stuff OP they are more suited to your cars power output.

I had these on my old z4 and they were great

:: Just my 2p worth, I had red stuff pads on my old 250bhp Saab 93 they were awesome, much the same as stock when cold but once warmed up they would stop much more effectively than any other pad is tried. Oh and no brake fade either on those spirited drives. Upgrade the discs and brake lines for the optimum result :driving:

Thanks, I am upgrading the brake lines to Braided S/s from Hel But I will probably keep the OEM discs as I have mixed reports on Grooved and drilled discs, I was looking at Tarox japan sports discs but have not found enough positive comments.

Running red stuff front and back with drilled and grooved on both , no issues, definitely recommend red stuff .

Hi,recently set mine up with plain mintex discs, stainless braided hoses and redstuff pads for the same reasons as you and the results are very good.I now have smooth, quiet, progressive brakes from cold in slow traffic, through to strong stopping power from the cars full potential. All the while producing far less dust than the lesser normal pads. When these wear out,I'll buy the same again.Great value☺

I had red stuff pads only a Z4 (e85) I had back in 2008. The pad backing plate didn't fit the calliper very well so when driving with the windows or roof down, you could hear them rattling around very loudly. I called EBC and they immediately refunded the cost with no denial of the issues at all. I wasn't that impressed with the quality of the pad, they really were very poor unless you got them very hot. Also they look dirty quickly as they are red and look cheap. I decided to avoid them after this.
