Congratulations on your new exhaust
Hope it gives you as much grin factor as my eisenmann does me . It certainly looks fantastic
will just say , I’ve tried taking videos of the new exhaust, have to agree massively with you and say , the phone doesn’t pick the sound up anything near what it sounds like in the flesh. Bit frustrating really. I binned the video idea after several attempts. I KNOW yours will sound much better than is heard on the video. Have fun and enjoy the new sound

I can happily say, yes there are some nice burbles on overrun, its louder, not overly so at idle, give it a bit of gas and gets alot fruitier, bit of drone at motorway speed, but it's still sooting up only done 80 Miles or so. I've been toying with getting one of these Ebay Exhausts for months now.
Today I booked it in for its MOT for Monday so thought I'd have a quick look about and underneath to see if there were any obvious faults. Also to check if it was a standard exhaust on there. Found this so it gave me the excuse to finally pull the trigger on the ebay purchase. Bought a load of cobolt bits to tackle the dreaded studs as well. Both should arrive Thursday so there's my weekend sorted!

N52 is the engine used in the facelift E85/86. A 2003 3.0 would have a M54 engine, and from what I remember the flanges after the catalytic converter are positioned differently in the two engines.

On a side note I ordered the ebay exhaust on the 6th Aug, should've arrived by Thursday 8th but the following Monday they fobbed me off with 'Parcel Force seem to have lost it'. And they had no stock left. They were expecting stock in yesterday but I still haven't heard anything. I've been too busy to call them today (pretending to be a Knight with my six year old at Warwick Castle) so I shall have to call tomorrow.
Doubly annoying as I stripped the old exhaust off on Thursday 8th expecting the delivery and in anticipation of the MOT the following Tuesday only to have to reinstate the old exhaust. At least the studs are sorted!
