Well after leaving car with garage for 5 hours, and me calling them to chase! They tell me gonna need car for whole day!! As need to remove the dreaded front down pipe studs! Jeez waste of time, so now taking it elsewhere to get done! Will post back when finally fitted!!

The flanges are different. Someone did manage cut and re-weld them to fit but it wont go on otherwise. There's pictures, etc in the thread.

It’s what I’ve done with mine. I’ve got one on my E86 and it sounds great!

I noticed there were 2 listings on Ebay, one for the M54 and one for the N52. As far as I'm aware if the downpipe flanges face the same angle then it's for the M54 6 pots, if they mirror each other then it's the N52

Well my exhaust arrived yesterday, today i pick up the car and took it mechanic and test it a few min ago
I will put some photos, and explain what alterations you may need, Bmw z43.0 SI E86.
I can say immeditaly that it's simple for a mechanic, and not really hard for common guy..
I drove it for only 10 min, still need some adjustments.
Well i turn on the car and was expecting more drama, i could hear a deeper tone but was expecting louder ones.
Then i came outside and push it really hard, you can see the yellowish color in the exhaust manifolds, and i can say from this very briefly contact that from low res until 5000rpm its mutch louder and deeper bass and in the top end not much more than before or maybe there was just so much decibeis before
