I wonder where this bloke gets his cars from, he's had a few really low mileage 3lt si sports now, here's another one he's got up for sale!

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-Z4-3-0SI-SPORT-ONLY-29-900-MILES/284223199647?hash=item422d05d99f:g:MXIAAOSwPzhgT7AD

Shame it has a 3yr gap between the latest service otherwise it would be looking even better. I am guessing he has a reserve of about £9k on it.

Yes I do wonder where he finds the cars...

Anyway, looking at the corroded brake calipers for example, if you plan on actually using the car and not keeping it locked in a garage, I wonder if you wouldn't be better off reliability-wise buying a slightly higher mileage example :?

I think the PY one he had on there sold for £10k :o

If it’s the same one the recent PY, 06 103k, he had it sold for £6.5k

Yes, I think you could be right on that one, must have been the grey one that didn't have heated seats

I think you're right, find yourself a car that's been loved but driven for sure

Seems to have had quite a few of these cars.

Cleverly clocked? Imports?

Something fishy there I think.

I also find it strange with so many low mileage and desirable/rare models that none are previous forum cars or ones that have been seen advertised previously elsewhere if it was just a trader buying privately and moving on

If that's the case then I'd be wondering why we've not seen any adverts or offers to buy cars.

Surely they couldn't be clocked or imports if they have that documented service history.
Plus that one seems to check out on https://www.gov.uk/check-mot-history

1500 miles per year summer car. Either that or the previous owner was in lockdown before everyone else!

That is a low mileage 3.0Si, and there aren't too many of them about.

I wonder if it's Number5?

Assuming the service history and MOT History match up it may well be genuine mileage, despite the slightly flattened seat bolster. My first Z4 had a bolster like that on 54K miles, but my 2nd one looked way better when I bought it on 77K.

I think they suffer more if the car is usually parked somewhere the door can't be fully opened, especially if the owner is "well built".

This chap is Legit, or at least to the best of my knowledge he is. I sold him this car, the mileage is genuine and I think it’s a really unflattering photo of the seat bolster.

He’s put a new set of Pirelli’s on it (to sell) as the 108’s I put on had runflats on, and had Number5 relocate the roof motor to the boot.

I don’t think he has a garage so the callipers have sat outside with the car doing very little since November, they just need a tidy up.

He just has a thing for Z4’s and must have alerts set up on gumtree etc as He contacted me within about 20 minutes of me listing the car.

I’m not going to lie, I was comfortably up on the sale of this car. Since then, the market for these had gone nuts (unsustainably in my honest opinion) so he’s probably going to be quids in...everyone’s a winner

That's good to know.

So he's basically just like us - a fan of Z4s!

I think he’s a part-time trader who focuses on Z4’s

That makes sense, and he seems to know some of their foibles if he is getting roof motors relocated!

There is a used car dealer next door to Ross (Bowser134) that has had quite a few Z4s since he opened RBM Hampshire.
