E89 ‘Wheels’ thread.... post your pic’s

Well my 326s are finally getting refurbished tomorrow and I've decided on..... dark grey (BMW colour) :o

Looked around for decent aftermarket wheels, but kept going back to M2 forged 19s.
235/35 and 265/30 Hankook Ventus V12. Feels better after just a few kms

My car has failed it’s MOT due to both rear wheels having cracks (326 type) and due to the number of cracks and previous welds they cannot be repaired. eBay only has wheels that are already cracked or very expensive so am looking at a new set of alloys to get me through the MOT. I am only planning to keep the car until March 2022 so don’t want to go too expensive. I like the look of these https://www.wheelbasealloys.com/alloy-wheels/riva//hyper-silver/19-inch-wider-rear/bmw/z4/e89 would I be able to swap my current tyres over to the new alloys?

The link you provided gives the same sizes you already have as recommended fitment F9B2D9C5-63E3-4956-839D-294261477D0D.png

Owned the car since July and, although the wheels are in decent condition, there's a bit of mild kerbing so they'll be going in for a refurb soon. I don't want to go too dark so my options are really only to retain the bright silver look or perhaps go for a glossy anthractie/mid grey. Can't decide. :?

Still I did have E89 Style 295s on my previous E86 - I've also got E89 Style 290s on my 3 Series!
Very glad my 35iS came with 18" 295s. Excellent wheels that put enough rubber between car and road to help the suspension, minimise damage from pot-holes and kerbing, ventilate and display the model's big discs and are easy to clean. At 81k, they're in good general condition, too.

These are BMW Performance Style 269’s in 19’’, 12mm spacer on front, nothing on rear… could probably do with 8mm front and 10mm rear…

I really like the wheels, but not convinced on my car - very different to the 5 spoke 325m’s

New MAK (Italy) 18" wheels have transformed my car.
I was on the verge of letting it go this year as the ride in the 19" run flats was a bit too harsh for my old body.
Can't believe the transformation!

How do you find cleaning the part behind the spokes where it meets the rim?
My new car has this type of design and it's proving difficult to get anything in there to keep it clean.

If I keep them, I’ll take them off and ceramic coat them and then most of the dirt will come off at the pressure washer stage. I’ve then got, what I can only describe, a cleaning pad on a bendy stick… clean behind several spokes at once.

They are sort of growing on me again :?

I'm selling a full set of 326M, no cracks or repairs. Advertised on the Forum.

Not going to be able to report on long term cleaning difficulties with these as I have sold them…. Very, very nice wheels but just not quite right on my car for me.

I’m liking the look of the Apex Arc 8 copies from Strom, the Veemann VSF25’s or possibly a five spoke option as the E89 does seem to suit 5 spoke wheel styles.

Well I finally ditched the RFTs and also got some new wheels, Veeman V-FS33s and Conti Sport 7s.

Went to BM Autosport - the folks there were really good - knowledgable, friendly and easy to do business with. Recommend.

Really pleased with the look and the ride quality is oh soooo much better :D

I can attest that the Contis are good in the wet, it rained all day, so no chance to get the roof down :headbang:

They look nice! Can’t go wrong with a 5 spoke design on the E89!

Some style 401’s, a temporary wheel set (probably) need a spacer on the front if they stay, 15mm rear spacer
