I was going to get mine refurbed last year, couldn't decided on whether to have a colour change or not. Anyway when you weigh up the cost of the refurb (I reckon I could get them done for £60 per corner :winkStevo1987 said:Has anyone had a complete set of 326's refurbished? If so how much did it cost?
I was quoted about £90 per wheel + £50 welding. i.e. £460 (four refurbed + 2 welded) although they did then talk about some discount if I did all that. I am still contemplating this because when I add in the price of 2 rear tyres too, its getting quite expensive...and I worry that the wheels will crack again - making them worthless.Stevo1987 said:Has anyone had a complete set of 326's refurbished? I think I read somewhere (or was it a dream?) that the 326's on the later cars were "beefed up" a bit so they are not so prone to cracking. There was a lawsuit in USA against BMW. I dunno if that is true or not.clarker63 said:I was quoted about £90 per wheel + £50 welding. i.e. £460 (four refurbed + 2 welded) although they did then talk about some discount if I did all that. I had a full refurb on my 326's by a very well respected company. I kept to the original colour and they cost £380 for the four. Used them on several sets of alloys and I can't speak highly enough of them.Stevo1987 said:Has anyone had a complete set of 326's refurbished? If so how much did it cost?
Thanks for that. A bit more than I was expecting tbh. I am waiting for lockdown to ease before approaching anyone for a quote. There appears to be a couple of places in Norwich that have good reviews (if that is any guideline these days).Boyo said:I had a full refurb on my 326's by a very well respected company. is that just a paint/cosmetic job? The more expensive ones I would go for are full bare metal refurbs.. and if you have diamond cut faces they can be even more expensive on top.Ole gits rule said:£60 a corner

Don't crack and the Romanians tell me they're easy to clean.
