Now WBAC offering £ 9000.-- WTF !

My car is a 2016 20i, with 39k miles on the clock and a full service history. WBAC offered me £17,500 on 22 August 2021, todays offer £13,555. Strange that this change in value isn’t reflected in used car prices on AT.

WBAC are basing this on summer values, try again in May and it will rise again, mine went down £2k after Oct but they keep sending dumb texts saying they have revalued the car and increased their offer - by all f £50 or £60 each time

Funny thing is that retail prices are still sitting very high from what I've seen looking at adverts over the weekend. I've been waiting for the bubble to burst but it doesn't look like its happening soon and spring will be next.

Still a lack of new car availability keeping prices high, I drive past Portbury dock occasionally and there is normally thousands of new cars there, now there are nothing but empty car parks and a few vans hanging around.

Seems like a good price for a well specced 2015 28i with 56,000 miles - even if it is a Cat D.

The irony is our view is probably very cheap by most UK house costs...only issue is you have to like sheep..

I doubt it dropped much in price..all the car sales professionals I spoke to suggested that strongly coloured Zeds being Marmite would not appeal to most but attract a strong premium for certain folks.

It’s probably the most extreme example but given we are now going into Spring I can’t see the dealer suddenly dumping the car.

Not every buyer is going to do significant diligence, some do zero..if they had the cash, and many have, and they liked it then someone may just buy it.
