My car.. 5/7/2012 WBAC £13,000 today WBAC £12,400

A 35is 5/7/2012 WBAC £14,305 today £13,500

Looks like the summer is coming to an end..

WBAC started at just over £11k, then over 5 or 6 weeks it went up to £12200. That's when I enquired on the forum as to a "proper" price and thought £12500 to a forumite, or maybe a grand over to start with in a private advert.

Someone jumped in and offered me the asking price so I accepted. Subsequently I've had offers PM'd over that amount, but the buyer and myself are happy with the deal so there it is. If it fell through I've no doubt it would still have takers at £12500 or even above.

If wbac offer a price it’s nothing more than a trade in price?
Ie realistically, retail value / private sale is more ?

Out of idle curiosity I played the game....rather surprised by £18355 for my 2015 20i Automatic with 30K on the clock.
No intention of selling so it's all academic but a fair bit more than I paid over 2 years ago.

That's right, but they hadn't seen the car and no doubt would have taken money off for the few scuffs on the wheels. More realistic was the one I had from Wizzle, which was between 11500 and 12250, after I'd declared the "faults". I probably could have got more, but I'm happy with the outcome. I paid the same amount for it, but have added about a grand of improvements and another £500 on a full service, so I guess it's cost me £1500 for 15 months of ownership (plus insurance, MOT etc). Those mods have made it immensely more enjoyable, so money well spent in my book.

They would struggle to find any wheel scuffs etc., and when I bought my car it had all the toys- wbac dont seem to price in the extra stuff - it seems they offer one price.

I’ve been reliably informed to ask circa £28.5k for mine If I put it on the market now.
That fits in nicely with wbac valuation and the extra toys my car has.

Just checked mine based on yours and yes dropped form £10,300 to £9,750 in the last week :)

Just out of curiosity after reading previous posts (No intention of selling) just went for a valuation with WBAC. Only basic details required, no extras taken into account and valuation received was £20,260 which lets say is way under anything I consider reasonable for a 2014, 35is with 46K miles and all the toys.

5,000 mile museum piece...

That is a museum piece alright, put any miles on it and the value will plummet.

Hit 25k and its worth £16k, hit 50K and its £14k - better of buying one with 50k on it now, not certain that thing standing around is doing it any good anyway :(

Seems a little low but then they have to make a margin when they sell it on as well - similar car at £27k -- https://www.carshop.co.uk/used-car/BMW/Z4/YE64GSZ
