Yeah that is a strange one I admit but if it was a weekend toy for blasting round the lanes would you need it?

At the money it is cheap compared to the rest of the market and cruise can be retro fitted so I think I know where I would be going to buy, love the colour as well.

Yes as 5th Dan on E89s itโ€™s I gather relatively easy to get round that issue, itโ€™s just the fact that so many 35i tend to have silly under specification issues..I assume they just so expensive initially people just ran out of cash ... probably had to push them out of the showrooms...

I know nothing about what can be done other than what I read on here so learnt that cruise can be retro fitted.

They were a dear toy to purchase but there are things I would lose such as storage pack to have cruise, if I was buying new. these are the critical things I would have wanted - heated seats / steering wheel / iDrive / cruise would have been on my list of must haves.

In all honesty on a ยฃ45k car cruise should have been standard in my opinion :D

think my theory that cars that are OE spec n finish move faster / sell better than ones that maybe lovingly modded
Peter I am not saying this because I currently have a modded N20 for sale but if mine sells and in the future I was to look for another N20 I would rather purchase an N20 like yours if it was for sale rather than one in itโ€™s original state. Your car LSD, rolling road tuned, bigger turbo, updated suspension/brakes etc itโ€™s a no brainer for me. Your car especially and mine perform so much better than the stock cars.

Think every person is different, I like to stick to stock OE spec but years ago had no issue with a little bit of subtle modifying - taste has just changed with age maybe. :)

Hi Boltz, I personally would agree, I think many Forum cars are clearly much loved and if I was in the market again would embrace a suitably competently modded car...Iโ€™m making more of an observation for those not on the Forum and those less knowledgeable.

But it does seem generally that OE finish cars, assuming they are well speccโ€™d seems to go more quickly...certainly trying to get hold of Atacama Yellow ones seems hardwork..

Boltz, Iโ€™m in the same camp as you, but............only if I was buying a modded car that was known like Peterโ€™s or yours. I wouldnโ€™t be so keen on just buying a random modded car and I still think the majority of โ€œnormalโ€ 2nd hand car buyers see modded cars as something that likely had the t!ts ragged off of it rather than the pampered and well looked after car we know they can be.

If buying blind with no previous knowledge of the car Iโ€™d likely opt for the standard car and modify as I want.

If I was looking for one just now yours would be way up there, as a known modded car, and I honestly canโ€™t understand why itโ€™s not sold

Aha, I think you are referring to some of those on FB. I have seen you there once or twice.... ;-)
