Ron if you’re looking at getting into a similar spec new M40i it’ll take more than £20k but with only £5 a year depreciation it’ll hold its value well
:wink:So I can comment now its gone. At 21/22k that I originally asked it didn't attract any interest which surprised me. But then it was pimped slightly. I got for it what I expected a private buyer to pay from the dealer so all good. It seems to be the untouched examples that shift fast. There's another on auto trader that's also been pimped so will be interesting to see how fast they sell.

This one caught my eye recently, like the design pure traction interior with the black bodywork, the bronze wheels may not be to all tastes but I quite like them, gives the car that old jps formula 1 look, low mileage, cat back exhaust and a remap makes it quite a nice package.. not quite sure the e89 suits that rear spoiler though, only real fly in the ointment i guess

I’ve bought a few bits of owners who have found it’s much more cost effective to return their cars to OE spec and sell the goodies separately...
Of course if you’ve thrown the old bits away then it’s not much of a strategy..
