E89 Market watch

Amazing prices in the UK. In Europe the same cars with that sort of age/mileage cost 50% more at least.... I considered one myself and living with a RHD. However one day I would have to resell it de-register it, bring it back to the UK and re-register it again.... I haven't discounted the idea if and when I go for a G29 M40i.... Assuming the Brussels clowns and that Stepford Kid haven't killed off the ICE and replaced them with their overpriced EV horrors
Some cheap E89's about: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-Z4-2010-2-5-m-sport-e89/233628584363?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3Daf0633663e9949bda1f9c2259a42b720%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D15%26mehot%3Dnone%26sd%3D233628584363%26itm%3D233628584363%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2380057&_trksid=p2380057.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3A8a9bfd47-b6c6-11ea-bdb7-74dbd1804818%7Cparentrq%3Aead0aad11720a16d3641979fffed5059%7Ciid%3A1

Very good price, too good to be true perhaps?

E89 is a complex machine!

Sadly the 23i seem to go for peanuts generally, this one hasn't got many goodies either, compounding the issue..lot of car for someone who wants that 6 cylinder BMW engine..pity you can't tweak them up easily powerwise..

£15,250 for a 2010 35is as a private sale? Time to get mine on the bay too then!

I was going for the Atacama 35is below. All concluded but I pulled out as it was an earlier model and for a grand more found a newer and lower miler. The Atacama was crazy sexy but only offered pre-facelift, sadly.

Gorgeous colour.

....and now the wait for my Mineral Grey... I have no finger nails left :worshipbmw:

Sold my Z4MR and it now turns out late 35is with iDrive are as rare as hens teeth?

Went to see a 35is I’d reserved to see it had a sunglasses pocket for the multimedia screen! What have I done.....??? !!!

This is why I bought from UK although I am in Southern Spain, I intend to keep the car for a long time so am not too bothered about the situation for selling it and here on the coasts sometimes you will get someone looking to go back to UK and will take a RHD car.

With regards to the M40i if you buy brand new you can order from Park Lane BMW in LHD for export, even after paying import taxes duties it still works out way cheaper than buying locally.

So the market now seems very different to 10 months ago.. think this will hold or a drop off at the end of the season.. e89 prices seem well up and Im thinking to hold out until Dec/Jan, id only get 2 and a half months motoring before i sorn for winter and with covid I've not really done much driving this year anyhow

Hoooof here's one for the brave or blind  £8500 for a twin turbo
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/bmw-z4-roadster-2009-e89-sdrive-35is/254712472927?hash=item3b4e0be55f:g:9kQAAOSw0fFfS7rs
100k 35i decent spec BUT that's where the good news ends
wheels - no comment
front grills fitted with a lump hammer & bar  & the bad news continues with the paintwork :o clearly been detailed with the back of a shovel at some point i'd say the dodgy passenger visor was the least of the new buyers concerns .
What is that car worth ? :?

I guess if it was ok on the road , roof was all good & decent history a cheeky £6k would allow a quality wrap for a bespoke finish ? mapped manual twin turbo offers decent bang for buck

slight damage to the grill

One heck of an advertisement, is it not? On the plus side if the mount points on the body are good a replacement part is rather cheap all things considered... but that paintwork needs some help... but my word that poor steering wheel! Its been shredded!

Still, though... a wrap, new grill, and the wheel sent off to Royals.... maybe not so bad? My concern would be if it was that poorly kept, what condition are the mechanicals in...

True enough but we had fun driving & wrenching on it. I'm afraid it would have spent most of the time just sitting. And when that happens here the rodents and elements creep in. If I get another later it will likely be a 35 model...
The new car is another avenue in the same adventure. Like your Lotus you know how visceral that kind of driving can be
