Appears to have been sold...someone liked it

Same car posted 4 days ago on Gumtree but now up £1k at £10995 which is still fair money for a 35i with sport seats on 66k

Looks like its just moved in the trade a few miles or £1 grands worth

I wonder how much forum negativity plays when cars are valued. After all anyone these days looking for a serious purchase might review these pages and decide not to buy, forcing the prices down on the forecourt because they can't shift the metal.

Most people can read between the lines, I sold my e85 for a very 'fair' price, there was one nay sayer picking holes in my advert and comparing apples with bananas but at the end of the day, a car is worth what someone else is prepared to pay for it. Sure if e89s start failing left right and centre and bmw release the z5 for 10k then residuals will drop, but I think the market is fairly stable for what is a very decent car for the money 8)

I think you are seriously overplaying the number of owners / potential owners that pass by the forum & even more significantly actually take time to digest the discussions within
I doubt that we currently have 10% of Z4 owners of each individual model whether thats E89 , ///M , Si E86 or E85s :?

Nothing to do with me but this now looks a serious bargain.

Spotted a red fully loaded 35i for about 13.5k on autotrader.
Next to the advert was value assessor for my car, 2009 23i was £7500 :(

That is a fine looking 35i for low ££

Interestingly the 35i manual is rarer than the 35is

329 vs 435
(according to howmanyleft)

511 35i autos

I wouldn't buy that out of principle, the seller's obviously stringing buyers along with any old yarn

I was planning to look for a Z4 coupe once id sold my focus but i think they are starting to look very expensive against these now. Will be interesting to see what happens to prices as if the current trend continues the 35's will be cheaper than the E85 coupes soon

"Soon" :? that already happened last year :( many E89s changed hands around £8500 - £10k which is prime E86 territory but in all fairness they are 2 totally different drives & ownership experience so not sure they can be compared like for like ?

Good job I am not planning on selling mine anytime soon. Some of these prices seem almost to good to be true. Some great cars to be had for some bargain prices.

That red 35i looks lovely as well really nice car for someone.

I totally agree the cars are very different and i had set out wanting a E86 as it was more fun, more engaging. Although 'good' ones seem to be 9-12k. I wasnt considering an E89 but now the 35i is dropping to 12k and a cheap remap gives you a 350+bhp 2 seater im thinking that could also be quite good fun! If the one Owen posted had been Blue/Black rather than brown id be taking a look i think.

Not sure what this character is on with but it all points to identity issues  :D

s-l1600.jpg

round the back we get the ///M badge & spoiler to add that finishing touch :P ( although the spoiler aint that bad :? )

s-l1600.jpg

even managed to squeeze a couple of M badges into the engine bay

before the final flourishing touch
