E89 Market watch

Someone’s realised their mistake, a £3k increase in a few hrs :o

I checked this site earlier and it was £19k on there too

Oops - some probably had their knuckles wrapped.

I checked an hour ago and it was still at £19k, someone will still buy it, I should have snapped it up at £19 and flogged it on quickly :D

Still on eBay at £19k but no buy it now option

Well, if I'd seen that I might have taken it, but in the mean time, I'm sorry but I've gone to the dark side.

Nothing wrong with an SL, great looking car IMHO

Yes, I think someone will. I wonder if they’ve stuck it up at trade in price rather than retail by mistake.

I think there must be something not 100% about this car. As we’ve discussed in some detail recently Sytners are retailing 35’s that are 2 yrs older at up to £8k more so see no reason if this one was ok that they wouldn’t do the same.

Would not surprise me if was put up at the P/x price, mileage in the ad is 66k on the car is 62k

It is strange but maybe the car came into Carshop as a p/x but you would think their network would know that Sytner could sell for more, maybe nothing wrong they just don't talk to each other.

My Zed had the dreaded handbrake issue and instead of sending to Sytner in Newport for repair they sent it to Dick Lovett in Bath, their CEO needs a rollocking as I would not be happy with wasting money outside of the group.

I noticed the mileage discrepancy too.

My 23i was traded to Sytners Oldbury and then went to this place, was then MOT’d and retailed by them.

Yes does seem odd putting it outwith their own network

Yeah, they told me mine was a P/x from Sytner, shame I cant find where as they lost the service book, got a new one now with services up to 45K, got to figure out the rest, probably the garage that did the MOTs. :D

High mileage but not high spec and they could have cleaned the interior before taking photos. It will go fast though.

Not surprised by the yellow one but, the 30i?! I bought my old 2011 30i from Sytner back in 2018 with almost exactly the same mileage for £15,000. I won't tell you what I sold it for one year and 10,000 miles later :headbang:

It just looks as if even the 30i are now starting to increase in price - maybe its the summer premium but those prices are crazy :o

Hmm.. I’m still toying with the idea of selling mine, but it seems I’d be daft to sell it for what it owes me now :?

Some of these prices are ridiculous, over £20k for a white 3.0 E89.... that’s a hell of a premium for a nicer engine note, even if it has only done 24k miles :tumbleweed:

I’d be gutted for anyone strolling into BMW and paying close to that for it

Yes the prices seem to be going up no end - I just cant see these lasting, makes me wonder if the 23i will start to go up in value although there are quite a few around :)

You still thinking of a 4 seat vert?

You still thinking of a 4 door very?

If you meant 4 seat convertible.... yes.

My partner is starting to agree with me, we had a lovely day out last weekend down to the coast just the two of us, but chances to do that are limited and her health isn’t good. So thinking about maximising ‘fun car’ times with kids & 4 seats.

yes 4 door vert - and maybe its the best way to move forward, plenty of nice ones out there - 4 series as an example.

If I did not have my car I would be all over your for certain - its a cracker :D

Well, I bought mine from car shop and the are owned by Sytner so surprised this is not at a main dealer as despite age and mileage they are well sought after.

Mine was immaculate when I viewed and collected it from Bristol so no idea why this one does not look so good :D

Nothing a quick valet could not sorted and was tempted but £345 a month is just a tad to much for me right now which is gutting as my favourite colour and spec :|

That is now reserved at £22k

Agree some occasional bargains to be had, i'd be kicking the tyres of this though

Guessing some folk don't check the current market before posting a for sale ad.

Price are getting surprising, so just out of interest, not planning to sell, but my 35iS October 2010. 78K miles, Space Grey red interior. Has I think most of the options, looks like Connectivity Package, Comfort package, Pro Nav and Multimedia. What does that make it around £16K ??
