these are growing on me, are they all forced induction & how does it compare to the si engine mrwilks?
Rob

All are barring the 204bhp 2.3i & the 262bhp 3.0i ( which would have been my desired choice )
Hard to quantify the differences as purely engine  much more to it than that .
Whilst obviously a good bit less bhp & torque the 2.3s just need to be wound up that bit more but then the whole drive prompts a much more laidback attitude to the 85 . Same name , different beasts i'm finding

Lovely looking motor Andy, I shall follow this thread with great interest as I feel a path to an E89 awaits once I've enjoyed the M for a year or so! Can't wait to see what you do with the wheels but whatever it is I'll know it'll make me think even harder about getting one!

Anybody put 224's on an E89 ?
Shhhhh  i was going to be the first but definitely going 19s now ive given the car a good visual .
The arches need some filling & i don't intend lowering

Nice, did wonder when the next itch was coming,

Looking forward to seeing the mr wilks tweaks

Well fortunately the condition of car's interior + exterior does not match what was under the bonnet

Wow I take my hat off to you Andy, I didn't realise 15 minutes had passed already. Clearly has thou as you have a new car

Car looks great, be interested to hear your comparison once you've had it a while

Looks great Andy and the cleaning up is going well i see. After seeing this Saturday just after you picked it up. It looked great just need a spruce up. Looks like thats well underway and its looking better for it. Cracking car you have again mate see you soon

Crikey - you blink and there's another Z4 in Mr Wilk's ownership!

Grey and red is a great combination and it looks like a very tidy E89. Good work on that engine bay too! Really revived it.
Glad to hear you're enjoying it already and looking forward to your trip to Scotland.

I may have missed your reply to this question already but do you still have the E85 or did you 'chop that in'?

Good work that man! Glad to see another itch scratched! :driving:  :)

Looks very nice, you really don't hang around so you!

So what are you doing with the recently acquired E85? Are you keeping that as well or is it going up for sale?
I'm not sure we actually have any memebers who currently own both an E85/6 and E89, maybe you could start a trend.
Did you ever fully resolve the steering issues on the E85?
