E89 EIBACH PRO SPRINGS KIT

zeebuggy.. what are the codes on the springs you were selling?

112001301va
112000102ha

mostly listed everywhere as e46 fitment on the rears the odd website has the fronts as fitting some e89 models, nowhere has them as a pair that I can find for the e89

I had a small issue with purchase from a forum member last week and he called me to discuss. Within half an hour I had a full refund to the penny of what I’d paid him back on my PayPal account.

That’s what the whole buying/selling ethos on here relies on

In your case I think an additional issue apart from the fees is you were mis-sold goods that weren’t as described as they were sold as springs for an E89 and the company who manufactures them lists them as for an E46. Whether they can be made to fit is immaterial , they’re not the goods you were led to believe you were buying.

Yup doesn't line up with a BMW Z4 23i on any site I looked at..which were all Eibach sites!

No wonder the OP's wife complained of a 'stiff ride' with those poundages..

They tend to be 'stiiff' compared to OE even when they are the correct one!

putting in the correct code would have given a correct result. and there not for e46. i did my utmost to find proof and even calling eibach twice to confirm they were for my z4 e89 23i and they told me yes there correct. what more can i say buy steve wouldn,t listen to me.I,m still waiting for an email from eibach to confirm this. had you put the correct code in ,instead you got 2 digits wrong way round and came up with the wrong conclusion. posting them back the same day and not wanting to listen to what i was trying to get proof for you. I dont make the coils and therefor
dont set the spring rates and decide what they fit on other cars as well. in this link on the page there is a compatable pull down box showing what else they fit which proves they use the same coil on several bmw cars.

I had no intentions of deceiving anyone aand nor do i ever or have done, why did i think it appropriate to claim my postage back ,no i haven,t done anything wrong in my opinion maybe if you had been a little more patient with me to enable me to get eibach to send me proof this wouldn,t be happening and we could have sorted it properly instead of me being slagged

zeebuggy...you've learnt the hard way that unless you are a 6th Dan in parts numbering /sourcing then Autodoc should be regarded as a guide not a definitive source..

I've ordered several parts from autodoc in my earlier days (2018!) which turned out to be incorrect for my car..

I think they offer a good service but as an aggregator of other people's parts they offer a broad range of parts, some of which MAY fit..

I can't see why the person who you are selling the parts to should bear the burden of your mistakes?

IF that link in your post it to the exact item you mean then it’s only compatible with a 35i/iS which is why to my limited knowledge the spring rating is higher possibly leading to the reason your Mrs found them so hard as the loading isn’t meant for a 23i??

The springs you have listed above are for an E89 35i / 35is, which is 45kg heavier than an E89 23i.

The N52 is a lighter engine than an N54 therefore if you fitted them you would more than likely end up with the front end sitting too high in relation to the back and it may also be over-sprung if still on standard dampers.

The correct parts for a E89 23i are:

112001901VA
112001901HA

Told him all this chaps...he doesn't seem to get that yes they will fit into the car but it doesn't mean its right, spring rate difference says it all... Zeebuggy not sure why you keep quoting i have the wrong numbers..they are there on the spring and as listed above...3 other members have also checked online and come to the same conclusion but you still can't accept it

You didn't claim your postage back...I paid that postage in the price! you have kept the postage I paid as well as the fees...you are not out of pocket.. I am you fool..you would only be out of pocket if you paid the return postage..you didn't I did!

well you say dont take the web pages as fitting correct yet your all slagging me with them ,when i,ve rang eibach to confirm there the correct ones !!!!!!!!! :headbang:
we are clearly never going to agree on this but we have both lost out here and i AM happy to send you as gift my postage cost i charged you as a to settle this , steve, £13

will be forwarding fitting email from eibach to them, !!

I assume that you must have already sent this email to the buyer then if it is irrefutable evidence that you are correct?

Do as you please, its not about the money, I couldn't care less, its about doing the right right thing Phil, we have an ethos on here that members dont stitch each other up.

What you seem to be forgetting and haven't once mentioned is we had an agreement, you would refund me and I would cover the return postage.. your actual words were and I quote from our whatsapp chat "No problem Steve, return them and I will refund you immediately upon receiving them, You wont have to make a case with Paypal I will send it" Put that in your email to Paypal too

Honestly I can't be arsed with it any more I know I covered my end of the deal..you know you pocketed a few quid out of it and still have the springs..well done you

Apologies to the rest of the forum for dragging this shitshow through here, wasn't my intention to do this but the guy doesn't seem to know the difference between "fit" and "correct fit" despite a mountain of evidence

He's sent me nothing and the car was due to be dropped off last night for fitting today, apparently I should have just shoved them in regardless on his say so despite all evidence to the contrary

How strange? You'd think producing the evidence would have stopped all this at page 1.
