So I replaced the battery over the weekend.
AGM115 fits perfectly (as did the AGM096). There's 2 screw holes to the right of the battery tray which allows you to alternate battery size and secure safely using the bracket shown below.
I already had BimmerLink (Register the battery) but had to buy BimmerCode separately (Code the battery) as changing from 70ah - 80ah battery. The good news is the coding and registering worked so that's the main thing. Not sure how useful BimmerCode will now be for my 30i, but it works on most BMW's so handy to have I guess.
@RobbiZ4 - Looking forward to seeing / using the display you showed in BimmerLink!!!
Looks like my battery was due for a check in 2023 so was potentially purchased in 2021 - Due for as change whatever.
Will now monitor my "closing windows on roof close situation" separately and take it from there.
