Hi Dave. Thanks for organising this group buy.
Would you be able to put a video up of how the Apple Carplay integration works please? I'd want to know that Spotify and TuneIn work before putting my name down. If I do go for it it, I'll probably be in touch to get you to install it. I live in Peterborough, so not a million miles away.
I currently have iDrive and Sat Nav. If I move to this unit do I lose the journey computer?
Also, is there any integration with the preset buttons?

Firstly you won't loose anything that you currently have. As far as your current system is concerned the screen is just a screen, all the software for that is located in the headunit.

If all goes according to plan I intend to put a video together this weekend regarding Carplay and Android Auto integration. So I'll get that up ASAP.
I was going to ask you if the android screen has a better resolution that the original, but then realised you didn't have one in there to begin with. Have you seen the screen in another Z4 and can you comment? thx.AnubisZed said:

did you get a reversing camera? If you did, how is it? Does it have guide lines that move with the steering wheel?

I'm told they no longer supply the DAB unit, but you can buy them directly here in the UK (I don't have one myself though)
I do have a reversing camera but not the one they supply. I've not got around to fitting it yet but I hope to (weather permitting) next weekend. When you place the Z into reverse the camera screen comes up with moveable trajectory lines and (if you have them) they'll display the parking sensors as well.

Yes that DAB box looks correct, I'm uploading the video of the Carplay and Android Auto as I type so it'll be available tomorrow now.
I'll just leave my E89 with you for a few months Dave and it'll come back as a G29 (is that the new number?).
