Got a call today and car booked in next week to have sensors fitted. Hope they do a good job.

I've heard that they use the old Porsche system for the retrofit as they cant code the BMW ones...

These are the ones Carol

Spoke to dealer today, he said they use a specialist to retrofit them. (hmmmm, even tho they said it would cost £3500 as I'd need a new bumper) he said they've been ordered colour coded. Wanted to ask as I had visions of it coming back with black circles

Just say to the stealer - will it look like it was original?
We did and he said it will. We'll see. They will be fitting a new bumper if it doesn't! :D

All the brochures I'm my local dealer have a big White sticker on them advising that hill start not available on the 2.0 or the 2.8.
Right on the front covering arty mountain shot

Thread below about parking sensors fitted today. Sorry posted it in the wrong place.

Congrats on getting the article published Andrew.

Is there any chance of uploading the whole thing? I know you've covered the content in your posts but it would be good to be able to print it out in 'published' format. Or I'd be happy to order a copy of the magazine if you let me know how.

Cheers.

Although I wrote the article, I don't hold the copyright. If I did, I would put up a copy. Frustrating.

Try contacting the BMW Club.

just had the call from bmw they are exchanging the wifes car for an auto due to hill assist problem.
They did originally offer 3 free services when i was offered this I just ask them if this would stop the car rolling backwards on hills they said no and offered the auto.
Question is do all autos come with paddle shift

Amazing. How did you approach this with them, cos I suspect for the dealer, thats a big thing. Is Hill Start a big issue for you, and did you "raise" it straight away?

I borrowed a new 328i the week before last which was an auto....it didn't have flaps, but I don't know if thats the same for the Z4.

Hill assist it not a problem for me but I bought the car for the wife and her last z4 had hill assist on thats how I managed to prise her out of an auto in the first place.
She has been nervous about driving with no hill assist so really is a problem
I raised the hill assist within a week of collecting the car and at first they told me it was fitted and I took the car in to be checked it was only then they found out it was not fitted
