But then what happens when the 35i is modified![]()

It compensates for the additional 100kg of weight you're carrying![]()

35iS is 335bhp stock.
however, the size of the brakes impresses. The front calipers are huge. It also has uprated springs and dampers, is 10mm lower than other E89s and has adaptive suspension. 8)

Yes - test drive an 35i or 35is - as they sound sweet
Then - test drive a 28i if you can find one or an 20i for comparison.
As a daily driver a 28i has a considerable lower cost of ownership, and buy what is right for you.
However 28i will out handle an 35i, and if you have one modified - it will leave it for dust![]()

My Zed history is all 3.0l six, E85 , E89 now E89 35is. and I think it has been progression all the way.
I had every opportunity at the last change (sept '16) but couldnt find a reason on paper to go to a 2.0l four derivative and I didn't know anybody with a car to try - it's not the same as a dealer test drive is it ?
ronk said:A kind offer but I don't think I will be changing it now.
firebobby said:It all depends what you want from the car, is it a daily where better fuel economy is a factor and your happy pottering around in a four pot. Or is it a high days car that the fun factor is more important. My E85 3.0 will return low 40mpg on a run and i'm sure the larger engined E89 can sup fuel too. Your choiceI, but I know what I would go for![]()
