This will be my build log as I try to bring my Z back to life.
In my introduction post I showed some of the issues with my ‘retired race horse’. Ziago, as he has been affectionately named, was suffering at the hands of a 19 year old. He was beaten mercilessly and shows the scars of it.
Today my father in law and I attempted to change the brakes. They are mostly beyond saving.
When we got the car in the air I saw something that made me want to throw in the towel.
The skid plate has been mangled and then it got worse. A 100mm long gash in the under carriage and into the cabin under the passenger side seat.

Where I live, that is an automatic failure for inspection.
The interior needs to come out anyway. I just hope the rip can be hammered into place and welded shut.
Ive never been one for body work but I’m going to learn now.
I have already ordered new suspension components.
A new wiring harness for the headlights.
I picked up some new wheels for it.
I can fix it.. I can fix it…
