And yeah, Zed Coding based in Birmingham can clear the light - was recommended by a member on the FB UK owners group. This is assuming you go down the route of removing the entire EPS motor/ecu - though you will lose function of the Sport mode button if you have it. I want to keep this for the sake of the exhaust valve actuation & throttle response.
From what I gather, you can simply remove the motor from the column, leaving the remaining electrics in place which won't cause the EPS warning lamp to flash up - https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=143160. This is ideal since it reduces weight (apparently about 10kg) and some suggest the motor, if left on the column, will cause drag if it's made inoperable (from pulling the fuse for example), which just doesn't sit right in my mind. Still yet to get this part done, so will see how that goes
