Probably asking alot but anyone got an early e85 for £3200 or less, Dont want the four pot, open to 2.2/2.5 would love a 3.0 but im realistic

I doubt anyone will have anything but its worth an ask!

Im in Norwich, Norfolk.

Damn! You just missed my 2.2. Went last week for around your budget!
I'll keep my eyes open for you though.
Any other criteria? Manual? Auto? Colour?

As always, if you find one that needs any mechanical work I'm happy to lend a hand.

What about this one?
Not got heated seats, but could retrofit and still be in your budget?

Op hasn't asked for a knacker though Enuff.... :poke: :poke:
I will treat that remark with the disdain it deserves.
A purveyor of finest automobiles I am. :D

 Cheers guys!

I know I’m asking a lot but it’s a toy I will commute in 3 miles a day, so the wife won’t allow big spends as I sold my Mercedes’ to get away from finance

I saw that 2.2 for £2450 on Facebook, I messaged the guy about it and it’s got a knock from the rear but he doesn’t know what it is, roof motor not relocated, and the headlights are badly condensed, so I wasn’t sure?

As for auto/manual/colour/spec I’m open to anything really, can’t be too fussy with the budget I have I don’t think, would just like a solid motor!

And no 4 pots (sorry 4 pot owners)

Knock from the rear?
Knackered shocks or top mounts?
Worst case would be trailing arm bushes which I've never done and believe you need a special tool or two?
Just today I ordered rear Sachs shocks, bump stops, Lemforder top mounts, ARB bushes and drop links from Autodoc for just over £150 delivered.
Roof motor? I'm no whizz, but I've done them before.
So for that lot you'd be looking at the cost of your bits, a few beers and the car with me for a day or so?

I’m not sure what it is, he’s been pretty vague in messages and I suspect he’s a trader or some sort looking at his other and previous listings….

He suspect anti roll bar link or a bush, but I’m a bit sceptical when he’s being vague about it

I can always lend a hand anyhow, not a mechanic by any stretch but I can turn a spanner lol

Thanks for the offer, nice to know there’s a good community around here

Plenty more fish in the sea.
But if you could knock him down a bit I doubt it would be a huge issue to fix it.
Plenty of advice on here about the headlights too.
As I said, always happy to help. I'm one of those odd folk who's just as happy tinkering as driving.

Could you take it for a pre MOT Ozzy..? A walk round with a pry bar will probably identify most knocking on the rear.

That is except for Enuff banging on the closed boot lid from the inside.....

That would never happen! I can't fold up enough these days to fit. Several lumpy bits would be preventing the boot from closing.

Still bragging about the size of your Harris Enuff...... :poke: :P

An M54 engined E85 is not going to enjoy a 3 mile commute every day, period.

If this doesn’t bother you and the Norfolk lads don’t sort you out, I might have a car for you (03 2.5i) if you’re not looking for perfect. PM me for details.

Was going to suggest that one but wasn't sure of your intentions.
FWIW OP, I very nearly grabbed this one myself but it was gazumped.

Agree about the short commute, but there are some great roads for a weekend clear out!

It’s 3 miles each way round the ring road, In Norwich, I assumed it would be okay with that?

Will also get a run out to Cromer (parents house), wymondham (best mates house) and snetterton (enjoy a spot of photography) so won’t be just used for that but I will need to use it for commuting in….
