my car suddenly decided to get a week full of problems before selling the timing couldn't have been any worse
1st. The window wiper stops working because the mechanism arm had come off its ball joint to link .After seeing the cost of a E85 used part £130 i gave that a miss. I used my skills and just stuck a washer on top of ball joint and welded it back together. It's never coming loose again job all done 2hrs later after messing around.
2nd. Day after my daughter slams the passenger door and my window starts scraping and dropping at funny angle when lowered. The metal bracket guide had come loose luckily I found the screw and part sat inside the door card unattached. All fixed now after 2hrs of more messing about with my big hands in small spaces.
3rd 2 days later my handle for my glove box then breaks. New lock and handle £70+
4th. On the day of buyer viewing the car the headlamp decides to throws up a bulb out error. I changed the bulb and still no function so electric fault somewhere very annoying to say the least as ive had the car 6 months with no issues
5th. lost my service book school boy error before sale had to pay my local bmw sytner for another
Oh well it sold anyway and just like all my 4 previous bmw's to the 1st viewer all though it didn't look very good from me as a selling point. Managed to bag another great deal on a E46 with only 70k miles ,personal registration plate, satnav,dvd.Bluetooth,Mp3,cruise control, heated seats, Bi-Xenon front lights, LED rear lights (basically all the things my Z4 never had apart from soft top roof) and still have over £1000 change from my z4 sale. Z4 is a good car but the E46 is a great car. I will buy another Z4 possibly E89 next its been fun anyway until we meet again....BYE
