E brake after brake change

Look up on google "E89 Chassis and suspension".
Pdf on another forum.
Direct download link.
I have this pdf but never really read through it.

Now that is interesting.
The emergency function must use the ABS sensors on all four wheels then. I was wondering why it has these sensors on the rears as ABS used to only work off the fronts in the old days.
The things you learn just by talking nonsense for an evening! :D

So that definitely rules out handbrake turns then? :o

I only pulled the lever for a fraction of a second, didn't want to risk flats on the tyres, not sure if the abs kicks in.
I know if you slam the brakes on the hazard flasher come on.
(Pondrew, Spaldingski...yes my sister lived Friskney, Boston, now Lincoln, know what you mean).

I meant that the ABS sensors must be used to determine that the wheels are turning, otherwise it wouldn't know to apply the fronts aswell.

We have Bostonovia and Wisbechistan as well up these parts now. :)

Electronic handbrake control always uses all 4 abs sensors when in emergency brake mode to ensure you don’t do a handbrake turn..the front discs are used to correct any yaw just as when using the normal foot brake...if you think about it that would a pretty daft thing not to do since you’ve got all the brains and logic to do it for the normal foot brake
