Driving hates on the road

Drivers who 'queue-jump' at road works or similar by flying up the blocked lane and trying to push back in at the front. Usually either a rep or white van man....

See I don't get this one at all, or am I misunderstanding you? If the merge is 800 yards ahead then thats where you merge, not half a mile back?

As a result of people adopting this "oh lets all queue in the left hand lane" attitude, you frequently see signs reminding you to USE BOTH LANES, which is what you are supposed to do....

That's why there's signs usually saying "merge in turn" and "merge point", suggesting you use both lanes until then. One of those moments when you're driving and you end up trying to decide do I do what the Highway Code says, or just follow the masses because it'll only cost me a few minutes and makes life easier than trying to get into the open lane that suddenly becomes bumper to bumper of unyielding traffic.

I'll add to the list people of bigger or heavy vehicles who feel they can use the size and weight as a weapon. That post mainly targeted at the old guy who used the wrong lane at the roundabout and thought he would teach all us of idiots in the correct lane a lesson by trying to ram us into moving out of his way.
Out of interest, has the highway code ever been taught to use the right hand lane to go straight over a roundabout when there's only one lane on the exit (unless signs/markings indicate otherwise)? And I'm not talking about queue-jumpers, people in a rush or IAM-types using the lane of least resistance. I'm just talking about the general driving public who's default road position seems to be the right lane.

Nail hits the head there! Exactly the reason why I've dropping into this thread numerous times before posting. Because I'd end up just quoting "+1"s to everything everyone has already written!
