Driving hates on the road

I stopped to let an old guy cross the road over the weekend. A driver coming the other way beeped his horn and waved to a mate on the pavement. The old guy almost sh*t his pants, thought it was me who had beeped and then started effing and shaking his walking stick at me.

I must admit, I did think about knocking the bugger over, but I've just had my new front bumper fitted

I know what he looks like now. He won't get the same courtesy next time!!

People not using indicators on roundabouts, you sit there waiting as a car comes round the roundabout only for it to turn off at the junction before you without indicating.
Nothing but laziness by inconsiderate drivers.

that the UK are not as smart as the Germans. if an extra 10mph is meant to save the economy billions, why not give us an autobhan (Hitlers finest hour)

I absolutely fucking hate incompetent drivers, I'm all for imposing advanced tests & periodic re-testing.

1) slamming on the breaks every time there's a slight bend in the road.

2) driving 10mph under every single speed limit (if it's safe to do the speed limit...do so)!

3) tailgaters, motorway or otherwise

4) total innability to maintain a constant speed, stopping starting all the time

5) breaking on the motorway for no bloody reason.

6) car envy, idiots pulling stupid manoeuvres to try & over take/get ahead that neither they, nor there cars are capable of.

& all of the above on my 15 minute drive home from work this evening.

Arhhhh...I feel better now

Was all that just one particular driver, or many ? I often make mental lists of offensive behaviour of individual drivers if I am stuck behind their idiocy for a period of time. Fit to kill someone by the time I get past / away :x

Lorry drivers who move over and block both lanes when theres a merge 800 yards down the f*cking road. I either squeeze past and give 'em the finger, or wait til we're past the lane closure then slow right down in front of them.

And tailgaters - guaranteed to have the brakes slammed on them.

And twats who drive through freshly stone-chipped tarmac at 60mph.

Oh and portugese lorry drivers, marginally worse even than spanish ones.

Those who drive at a universal 40mph, but feel the need to turn full beam on when they are overtaken

Need to put these on a check list. I'm sure I see all these behaviours everytime I take a trip to London.

Young lads who drop and lower the seat so far back they can barely see over the steering wheel - in fact drive that way...

...and then drive everywhere using just one hand permanently fixed to the top of the steering wheel....

What about the twat that pulls out on you causing you to brake and then drives at 30 mph in a national speed limit section when there's nothing behind you and turns off at the next junction.

What about the twat that joins the motorway and pulls straight into the fast lane from the slip road, does not see you as you are in his blind spot and nearly wipes you out! That happened to me this morning!

Don't get me started! My biggest hates:

Poor lane discipline.
Lack of indicating.
Speeding in a 30 limit.
Using a phone while driving.
Doing your mascara while driving (only yesterday).

Luckily, I am a relaxed kind of chap and drive defensively on the basis that they're all trying to kill me. So rather than getting annoyed I tut in their general direction.

That teaches them!

-Middle lane hoggers
-Drivers who do not understand lane discipline at roundabouts and end up merging into your lane and they think they have not done anything wrong
-drivers without brake lights

I think in this country everybody shoud be required to re-take your driving test every 5 years to keep the overall competancy level up. Imagine how that would effect the economy and improve road driving conditions :driving:
