I got a driving day for my birthday recently, so next Monday I'm driving an Aston V8 convertible and an Audi R8, I get 1/2 day in each. Quite looking forward to it,I did try to swap the Aston for something else, but not possible and didn't want to pay any more. I'm tying it in with a 500 mile round trip to relatives as well, so a decent weekend away.
My question is should I drive down in the 320d or the recently acquired Z4MC? The diesel will use at least £75 less in fuel, and will make the other cars seem pretty fast. The Z4 would make it a total 'super-car' weekend, but might make the other cars feel less special. And there's a chance that after the R8 in particular the Z4 might feel less special. And adding another 500 miles onto the Z4 will take it to 22k miles...
It's not exactly a life or death decision, just thought it would be interesting to get your thoughts! And how you think the Z4 would compare to the other cars. I think it is as quick as the Aston, and nearly as quick as the R8.
Cheers, Ian
