Can anybody explain where the drain holes are?. Have seen many comments about them. May be a daft question but am new to this. How often should i clean them? car is not garaged since i purchased it a couple of months ago.

If you remove one of the rear wheels, stick on a stand then simply unbolt the three bolts visible halfway up the wheel arch.
Pull the splashguard top edge forwards and stick your hand in towards the door sill.
There is a rubber 'plug' which sits in the roof of this area, just pull it out and stick a finger into the hole to see how badly clogged it is.
Clean up the inside/lips of the plug and replace.
Repeat for the other side. :wink:

no need for sorry, were here to help eachother out, in the faq there are some nice little mods. ( like the stubby, although mine turned out not to be that simple.

not al the flauts pop-up, and buildquality, it was build in de US. do we need to say more ? 
Checked mine today, to get the arch liner off we needed to drop the wheel by jacking the car up, once we knew where everything was the other side was easy to check without doing anything, there's a rectangular hole in front of the splash guard that you can reach up and feel the plug through.

They're both the same, from the hole in front of the splash guard reach forward and out towards the side of the car until you feel the flexible rubber plug. It's only a few inches up from the hole, so easy to reach and quickly check by hand without pulling the plug off.
The driver's side you can see the top of the drain from above through the roof mechanism so easy to check there's nothing blocking it there too, but on the passenger's side the motor mostly blocks the view from above.
