Yes, can be programmed by the dealer.

Must be done with bmw software. Some indy's have it. I think this setting must be programmed on your key but not sure.
There is a whole list of items that can be programmed, follow-me-home, door locking, indicators flash on lock / unlock and so on.
There is a scanned doc on this site which lists them all, you would have to search for that though as I don't remember where it is.

Yep, anyone with Autologic can do it, along with 1 touch passenger window, beep on locking and opening, 3 flash indicators.
Several of us have used Pete in Telford (can't remember the name of his company but search for him on here and you'll find him) he'll set all kind of things for about £25 even opening and shutting the roof off the key, but then won't matter to you as you bought the wrong car

Costs £45 for the programming and you get a tick list before so you can have what ever you want turned on 
Had mine done but it wrecked the car, the driver window kept going down after I had locked the car at a random intervals. Couldn't take it anywhere. They replaced the window motor, then the whole computer unit controlling the key features and started again was a right pain in the ass.

FH_BEIFAHRERTUER_TIPP_ZU on touch up - passanger window
KOMFORTOEFFNUNG_FB key fob roof open
KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB key fob roof close
This was my very first time coding, it feels great! However I don't know much obviously.
Using SSS v32 I coded the car to lock the doors when I start driving. Now I am wanting to find a way to
automatically unlock doors with engine shut off/key removal so I don't have to pull the lever twice or hit the unlock button, is that an option on the Z4 E85 using coding? someone replied not possible.

It's one of those features I've never particularly liked. I've never lived or (to my knowledge!) driven through an area where car jacking is rife however!
I know the inside door release works regardless, and the locks would disengage if you end up on your roof - or that if you need someone to haul you out the car the chances are the door won't be the right shape to open, but there's something I don't like about being locked in!

Since my 2007 E86 coupe was built a few months after 03/2007, does this mean there is a different connector on newer Z4s???? Or is their advertisement mistaken and it will work?

I'd prefer to do it myself for that price and have the software to edit it and read any potential faults in the future.
