Door Lighting Project

Don't have a close up, but all I did was lift the handle and drill a hole from the outside dead centre, that exaclty matched the diameter of the LED. Then I poked part of the LED through from the inside, thus avoiding dismantling the lock and handle.

So through the door itself not the actual handle? i'm pretty sure i know what you mean :) you just used 1 led though?

Correct on the cup part where you fingers go in, just above the line of sight.

Single LED is all that's needed as it's a subtle location light, not to flood light the area. On my Sterling grey they appear as a very subtle hue sort of lilac.

Anywhere that has a light which lights up and dims as you unlock and lock/start the engine.
Just tap into any of those looms.

worst case will be the centre light near the rear view mirror, but I can't recall which pillar the loom drops down.

yes but....... the problem is that I don't have lights that go out with engine running.

The dome would be good but if I use motor start? all LEDs light up together!

Then I can't help as I've never toyed with one without the dimming option already fitted.

Do you have any lights operated when you open the door? If so you could hook inthe the loom by the door switch/

Hi,
I just get the dimmer light above the rear view mirror on ceiling: ((
Should I take from the power?
But then I run and I turn on the light on ceiling also handles external lights?

Yes - take a connection from that light and it will also operate a footwell light
