Doing the right thing?

Fantastic cars except from the runflats :D don't think you'll be disappointed. In the best colour too. I just sold mine few months ago. All the m badges on the wings came from early 2014 builds.

2014, 35i M Sport, straight from the factory.

I think you may get a few of these TeeZee..................

Nice looking car OP, hope you enjoy it. Grand Tourers with a bit of fizz rather than balls out racers though. :)

Yes, a bit excited I have to say ... and next week will take an age getting here! Leaving early Monday, 6 odd hours from here to Poitiers, stay the night, then Tuesday to Caen for the night then morning ferry to Portsmouth arriving Wed lunchtime ... in a Lotus Elise ... I'll check my fillings before we leave and make sure the memsahib's wearing a stout bra! Lotus suspension makes a Z4 seem like driving a 1959 Chevrolet Impala!. I brought it down here in April, pottering down over 4 days through some beautiful National Parks and staying in nice country hotels ... made a pleasant change from bombing straight down the Autoroutes ... I think we'll do the same when we've collected the Z4.

Well ... I've just phoned and done the deal! haven't seen the car but then, they haven't seen mine for p/ex! Bit tricky being 700 odd miles away!
How bad can it be with only 4k miles on the clock? ... unless it's only been used for track days! Collect next week.
Congratulations! The 35iS is a cracking car and you'll enjoy it.

I will be registering it in France ... I'm waiting to hear about the headlights - I've got a Jaguar XF Sportbrake on which the headlights dip flat and the Range Rover I had before it had a switch to make them dip flat i.e. not one way or the other ... the garage I'm buying from are checking it out or it might just give the info in the handbook! Failing that I'll fit new bulbs. As for the 'M' badge .... all the ones I looked at on Autotrader had them and this one's got one on the boot as well instead of a Z4 badge. (pic) I understand they were built to order by 2014 so that you could specify pretty much what badges you wanted, or not ... what I've read anyway!

Congratulations mate !

Are you based in France ? I know E89s are very rare over there and they do cost a small fortune !!! It will be a stunner !! .

I will be down the south of France for Xmas with my 35i

That boot one has to come off, that is just wrong.

I took off the "Z4" badge from the boot, I personally think that the rear of the E89 looks completely different with and without a badge and in my opinion it looks much better debaged.

Looks alright to me, can't see the problem! ... Afraid I can't get precious about badges on boots!

Somehow, I don't think so Ron. I just can't see it that he would have put that random M badge on the boot.

Nor do I but the car is now at 4K - I've think (from memory here) that when JB sold the car it had only done a few hundred miles so somebody has had it?

I just asked if it was a one owner car ... you know what dealers are like! I'm not really bothered if the 4k miles is a genuine figure, and why wouldn't it be?

Good luck with the car  A small thing, but the M badge on the flank is someone's non-factory add-on. Strictly speaking, there is no M version of the E89 Z4.
Actually, it's not. It's an official from the factory M sport badge. Most M sport models have this rather irrelevant and misleading badge now. People think it means M division involvement when in fact it's simply a trim level. Welcome to the world of brand dilution for profit.
I'm confused :? Are you saying that this Zed came off the production line with the M badge ?
Mine sure came with the ///M badge Marlon, just denoting that it's an M-Sport model.
