Doing the right thing?

well .. at least you have a little more history of the car then you had a few hours ago

all the best, hope you enjoy it ... the only thing I did use when I owned the car was to use a aquagleam water cartridge (search this forum for other makes as the aquagleam is expensive) it makes the water pure so when I washed the car and rinse the car would dry streak free so no scratches or swirls in the paint

all the best

Hi ... yes I might have been interested ... good price and I like the black. We had a black 3.0 coupe until we moved down here 18 months ago but my wife didn't want to drive it all this way and we couldn't be fagged to leave it in the UK then fly back to collect it! Used to polish up well! She ended up with a Citroen C1 and I bought a Lotus Elise which I can't get in and out of easily with my arthritis, hence another Z4 (already got a Jag Sportbrake for shopping!) ... if you've ever driven a Lotus Elise you'll know what I mean! Point is I'm p/exing the Lotus with the Z4 ... and I've now paid them £1k deposit (returnable) but I'm committed really and this ex JB car does look good ... thanks for the offer though.

No doubt I could get a Z4 badge from BMW at vast expense ... wouldn't it look better with nothing at all?

BMW just charged the insurance £37 for a new Z4 badge, so I'd hate to think what the cost to a normal person would be.

Personally I think the boot looks cleaner without it. Had I known they were going to replace mine I'd have asked them to leave it off.

Hairdryer and finger nails / dental floss will take it off without any damage.

Anyone who knows the Z4 will laugh at the badge as it is so inappropriate and generally used by 2.0 drivers ...

The only advantage for you is that as I overtake you in that traffic jam assuming it is a 2.0, I have to push the accelerator a little more to get passed

(Except that I would know it is a 3.0 as it has two sided pipes 8) )

As stated in my previous post, It would most definitely look better without anything at all - My first mod was to take the Z4 badge off the boot

The Z4 badge floats in the middle of nowhere, i.e. some afterthought.

Put nothing on the back, so much nicer.

I ordered my X5 without any badges as well, those who know can tell the engine anyway and I much prefer the cleaner look.

I really want to debadge mine now. Although that M one on the wing is tasty, think I might get a pair :D :poke:

That picture from the front in red is very nice indeed, I think I might even prefer that colour to my black :?
