So.......how did he get the broken piece out ?????

drilled it out, thus creating a new hole to screw 'bender' (as in Bender's (futurama) antenna according to my dad) in to the new hole.

EDIT - just follow Stuart's link above. I'm too slow :headbang:

There's a pipe which plumbs induction roar into the cabin. It is dulled down by two bits of foam sound insulation. Remove said foam and you'll hear a hearty roar in the cockpit. A 2 minute mod which will make you grin from ear to ear every time you push the loud pedal :D

There's a "how to" guide on here. Do a quick search and you'll find it

Same happened to me.

You can replace the base for a tenner or so.

See here for my tale:

I believe that doing this is only an option on the 3.0i or 3.0si. Here is a how too link...

I thought it was just a 3litre jobby. hmmm I think I need a new gear knob on mine. previous owner has chipped it (guessing from his watch) and for some reason. put a 6 speed knob on even though it's only a 5 speed :?

We seem to both be at similar stages in our Z4 lives, I added a stubby to mine yesterday as well!

I added the ZHP to mine today, I'd highly recommend it. Feels much better and looks good too! :D
