Dog walking

I think it's mostly bitches they are after as the trade in puppies has really taken off, especially, it seems, during lockdown.
They crudely cut out the micro chips then breed them as many times as they can for 2 or 3 years. Once they're completely worn out they usually end up in a sack of bricks off a river bridge somewhere.
With some breeds prices going through the roof, its a lucrative business.
We thought our pedigree miniature wire-haired dachshund was expensive 2 years ago at £1500, but now they are going for double that!

There's been a few reports of thefts locally. We were a bit worried when we had our working cocker but now he's passed away we're looking at getting a rescue dog from abroad. They're lovely dogs and just need a loving home but as they're not pedigree we're hoping they won't be attractive to thieving scum.
