Does this car have Xenons. (picture)

Can't get a reply from the dealer, email, text, and voice mail. I don't want to appear to keen. I'll have to wait it out.

Just had a look at there website, they do look like a home based trader and their website is one of Autotrader's generic Razor websites which they typically flog to the small one man bands. I am not saying that is a bad thing, plenty of good sole traders out there but He/she may well be away over the festive period with no one to cover.

Don't like the look of this compulsory warranty crap on their website, a warranty you have to pay for thats not optional. Surely that's a breach of trading standards legislation, the price you pay at most should be the advertised price, not that price plus add ons in the small print!

Spoke to the dealer, I checked the spec with the chassis number (LS83382) and it has a few more extras than he has listed. The tyres have been replaced with non run flats (Firestones) and the milage is 60335, which sounds about right. four previous owners. Is it worth a trip to London??

I suppose only you can answer if its worth the trip, are you far from London? I have traveled all over the country for the right car over the years, but it is a gamble, driving hundreds of miles for a shed is never nice!

Looking at the vin checker, you are right to say there are a few more extras than listed in the advert and more than your 2.5 would have had as standard, however most with the exception of the chromeline trim, xenons and wind deflector were standard on 3.0, so as 3.0 go its a low spec car in that regard, not that thats necessarily a bad thing. It depends whats important to you, the car itself may well be a great little car just a little light on toys, but you may never use some things if they were fitted anyway

One plus point is the the vin checker reveals its build date to be 08/04 which should mean all the wiring is in place for certain upgrades such as cruise and heated seats, making upgrading to these a doddle it you so wished.

Good saving on tyres if you intend to stick with 17" like you say you do and move to runflats, but only if they are in good nick, remember two were advisories on the last MOT, have they been replaced since? 4 previous owners on an 11 year old zed is nothing to worry about, some would say thats quite low.

Personally if it were me i would go and have a look

What extras do you think it has? I can see that it doesn't have the following options...

PDC
Nav
Folding mirrors
Cruise
Heated Seats
MFSW
18" rims

Can't tell if it has cup holders Bluetooth or CD multi changer from pics. On the plus side it has Xenons and the wind deflector which are good options.

Remember things like auto wipers, electric seats and M Sport suspension were not extras but standard fit.

Still looks a lot of car for the money.

Compulsory warranty would bug me. CCA gives you a lot of cover in the first few months, so sounds like dealer is forcing this so he doesn't get any such claims.
(Caveat is that I'm travelling so not read the detail of the warranty)

See if someone local can view the car for you before travelling.

Thanks everyone. Great advice and input so far. I suppose it's a good price due to not have too many options but enough for me.
The car is in WARFIELD BRACKNELL, I'm in Bristol so a bit of a run. Anyone know of a forum member that is near and prepared to pop round to have a look?

I have no headlight level adjuster , it has H7/DS2 in raised letters , but no washers .

My car hasn't got factory xenon .

H7 is halogen and D2S is Xenon, Do you have the yellow warning stickers under the bonnet above each headlight?

it says both H7 and DS2 on the headlight & no yellow warning stickers .

So your LCM has only the one dial for dimming the instrument binnacle.
You have no headlamp washers and no yellow stickers.

Do your lights have the Orange or clear hockey stick indicators along the bottom?

Sounds like your LCM has been changed possibly as part of an aftermarket HID upgrade.
