I want to paint mine as I dont like brown.

I'm not sure what colour to go for though

Do you have any pics?!

...Although you have red leather so it would kind of match.

Mines black with white leather so I think red would look awful. I think I want blue, but very hesitant!!

I don't have them painted yet, but will at some point.

I can't imagine there are many angles where you'll be able to see the calipers and seats in the same view?

That wasn't why I said red, I just think traditionally red is the best looking colour. It's common on many OEM calipers nowadays so you don't have the taboo of 'Brembo copy' any more.

There's only really 5 colours you can consider, Black, Silver, Red, Blue and Yellow.

Yeah I know, but I'm fickle like that. Although nobody else would know, I would :)

I'm going to have to photoshop some pics tonight I reckon. Try out a few colours and see what's what.

Cheers!

the Ellipsoids are pretty dishy, so there isn't a massive amount of viewable gap there, unlike the spoked 108s, CSLs etc.

With red caliper before I later swapped to 108's and larger calipers/discs

Actually other than close up and square on you can hardly see them.

Yeah but it's the same with most mods. 95% of people wouldnt realise the difference anyway. On one of the threads earlier they were talking about removing the 'french fry' in the rear lights!!

We know they're there, and it's what makes us happy :D

Thanks for the pic! Definately not going red :P

 Proof in point... I thought there was a chip (fried potato) in one of the exhausts!
I'll be over there if anyone needs me...

ive done mine gold, ill get a pic later if your interested  done with hammerite smooth and an artist small brush. i went gold as im refurbing my ellipsoids in a mercury grey.

I think silver or black are best with OEM calipers as others draw your attention to the horrible looking calipers. Just my opinion.

Just to show the point I was making - same colour, but bigger E46 330 calipers, slotted EBC rotors and 108's
Highly visible, but I think it now works and with such open wheels the calipers and rotors make a justifiable feature:

Yours match the seats too though, which helps!

Fancy doing mine BMW blue at some point.

It's no accident that they do match (well the same basic colour) Much of the detracting and contrasting colour has gone too - amber indicators, amber sides and rears, red centre brake, blue and white badges, etc. - all gone

Of course i could help do the calipers, but frankly it will take as long to drive here and back than do them.

its such an easy mod if you dont like the colour you can always change it quite easily! i was quite chuffed how the gold came out, not such a common colour but obviously not to everyones taste, it should pop out a bit more with darker wheels. i actually prefer that the calipers are hidden a bit by the ellipsoids, you just get a peak at the bling factor lol

Yeah it looks fantastic. I know it wont be as big of an impact on mine, but I'd still like to do them.

I've decided I'm going to paint them either blue or silver. If I dont like it, I'll paint them all Black.

Search 'Caliper' and you should see a few different examples. People have gone all different routes. Nearly all with a can of hamerite.
