Do Z4 owners wave

That's the exact question that spawned the Z4 Forum window sticker. See Taz x for details

Only ever had one flash and that was from SocketR (who has now sold his zed) I too find that most (actually all) zed owners don't respond, snotty lot. :D

No one has ever waved or flashed at me  I don't find the average Z4 driver particularly friendly.
As a Biker with a Harley and a sports bike, I have found that each little niche' of car and bike clubs can have unsociable or clicky people in them. If I'm on the Harley some sports bike riders will ignore my nod and vice-versa on the Harley. So I suppose that may be true of certain roadster and coupe drivers? It doesn't matter really. I'm sure the majority of forum members would acknowledge each other, but how could you tell?

One of my bikes is also a Harley ('91 FX Springer), and I ususally get acknowledgment from sports bikes as well as from riders of other types. I have various types of bikes and have found the same degree of acknowledgement on all of them. France is very bike friendly and there seems to be a greater affinity between riders, regardless of what their mount may be.

YES, come on everyone, get a window sticker and lets all smile and wave at each other, spread the forum LOVE

I think it depends on the part of the country you are driving in. Here in London you can't even make eye contact with people nether lone wave at another driver.

I wave... and get ignored most of the time, or a withering look.....

Am sure a few members on here would wave at you, Carol

Tapatalking...

I wave, but like most I rarely get a response. I see a blue coupe which by the plate I guess is owned by a guy called Lister and he usually waves, other than that it's rare :(

There is one thing that has surprised me. We have a mobile police camera station that I pass regularly and I have had bikers flash a warning to me several times now. They never do that unless I am driving the Zed. There must be some sort of biker -- Zed driver affinity. I have started warning them (in response) now.

A few weeks back in heavy snow I had an unavoidable commute in the Z. After wheelspinning all the way up a hill and generally not exceeding about 5mph I spotted another coming the other way. We didn't wave at each other, more applauded. There were actually fist pumps going on. It was quite the adventure.

:D Awesome!

During this cold weather I've give a cheeky grin and thumbs up to any car with the guts to also have their roof down. I got a good response from both of them

Depending on the situation I wave, flash, smile, nod, speak to any Zed driver / sports car driver / exotic car driver, though driving an ///M Coupe I have noticed the following when the drivers are in:

Z4 ///M Coupes - guaranteed mutual appreciation with associated exchange of communication
Z4 ///M Roadsters - mutual appreciation with associated exchange of banter
Z4 Coupes - mutual appreciation of both driving such a rare coupe
Z4's - mutual appreciation of both driving a Zed
BMW ///M's - mutual appreciation of both driving an ///M (e.g. the E93 ///M3 driver who exchanged nods with me recently)
BMW sports / exotics - mutual appreciation of both driving a nice beemer (e.g. the 6er grand tourer who drove past me with a big grin the other day)
Other sports car marques: Porsche, Audi, TVR, Lotus etc and various Jap exotics and more - mutual appreciation of both driving something special (e.g. the EVO V driver last year who had pulled over to inspect his mud-guards who looked at me startled when I opened-up the S54 on a corner of the A27 near Chichester, and the Chimera driver who followed me for half an hour trying to keep up with me on some amazing roads in Sussex this Sunday).

Hmmm, hope you weren't exceeding the speed limit or racing on public roads!
