Do you wave?

If you waved at me I would give two fingers back, nothing personal

I used to wave at other Z3 owners but it's getting rarer as most have broken down or rusted away, same with the cars :D

I never waved when I had the Z4, I think it's more of a classic car thing rather than a modern car.

Depends if their roof is down or not, if so and it's a bloke I sometimes put a hand up, rarely any response though, usually get a "who the feck are you waving at"? look, and anyway I don't think I've seen a roof down zed since last years watermill meet, and that's on warm sunny days too, I don't get it.. :?

Mx5 owners usually have the roof down but Zed's, no.

Why on earth would you wave to someone because they have the same car as you. Never understood it. I don't do it and don't/wouldn't respond to someone who did. Leave all that infantile, nepitistic guff for caravan and motorhome drivers. 8)

I try to acknowledge other roadster drivers as they are probably like minded car enthusiasts. Unfortunately most people down south are miserable :)

Depends if she's good looking or not, but if bald with tattoos I tend to pass on it

I always wave to any Zed, 3 or 4.

Usually as has been said you don't get a wave back but I have had two in the past three months from maybe 10 waves from me.

Used to get more in the Alfa but then they launched the Mito and more non car people started to own the brand rather than enthusiasts and it declined.

Always give an acknowledgement of some kind if I spot another car I like the look of. Gave a nicely kitted out Jeep a thums up on the way to the tip just now. Got a smile. :)

If its another roadster with the roof down I will wave and often get a wave back. Given up with coupes, and don't even try with E89s :)

I useto acknowledge and be acknowledged when I drove my 1972 beetle, hell I even got a nod or a wave when in my modified corsa... But the z4, nah the other drivers are miserable f***s! So I don't bother anymore, in over 3 years I've had 1 wave and I was so shocked I didn't respond

haha this is so true! I've been caught out before after given up and was shocked as you say and then I was one of the miserable f***s xD
Ever since that day, I've done by best to be on full wave duty all the time

Serial waver and the wife thinks I am mad. Even waved once at an e85 out of desperation :poke:

Yet to get a response other than weired looks from the other driver

I was going to respond negatively on this thread earlier today, but got sidetracked.

Then, this afternoon, on the coast road from Sheringham to Cromer I spotted a white E89 approaching so chanced a quick flash and got an appreciative nod and smile from the other driver. I think it was all one could expect given the brief amount of time involved.

In my 5 years or so of zed ownership this is I think the first response I have had. :)

Went out today for a tootle through Weardale and saw a good half dozen Zeds - not one of the miserable Sods acknowledged.

A happy chappy in an Mx5 did !
