Life after work indeed. 
yep, 370hp and winter tyres is quite, um, interesting!
Lives outside, though under cover most of the time, not used every day but weekly at least. Do give the underside a good spray if the salt has been out though. Some great great winter drives to be had, these car's are pretty well made corrosion wise, get out there and use them I say :driving: Life's too short.

It will all be about paint depth gauge no? They must have taken those readings? If it's ever been repainted outside of bmw you'll be knocked back. To have the front and rear of one side of the car with corrosion I'd say it may have been repainted? Just hope it was done by bmw.

yeah its right i used my own PDI for it, and its all original paint, you can tell , especially on the bootlid the orange peel is present & correct lol.
they already took depth readings, apparently they didn't take good enough pictures of the small rust blebs on the wings so they want to take some more ...

Intend using my Zed at weekends or nice days throughout the year. Not sure whether it has been covered but if you do intend to store your car over winter one issue to think of apart from the usual recommendations is to ensure you have a tank full of petrol. With the EU requirement to up the ethanol in petrol, water droplets can form in a partially empty tank, causing rust problems and starting difficulties.

Thats worth doing. Never thought of wash and wax under the car. Never use it on the actual paintwork thats always wash, polish then wax for best results but not always practical during winter months, hence the several layers now.paulgs1000 said:Nanu said:

Yep fairly easy to keep warm in the Zed even on the coldest days (good hat scarf and gloves will sort the rest).

Its less ardious than washing the carCouple of large aerosol cans and the jobs all good. I've done the Z3 twice in 7 years.
